What Size Will Your Yorkie Be...Chart I know not long ago somone posted a really cool chart that you could determine how much your Yorkie would weigh when an adult...could someone post this again, please? |
i would like to see this too! |
Here are some sites that have a growth chart. http://home.comcast.net/~kkingpdx/puppygrowthchart.html http://yorkiepassion.com/growthchart.htm |
i don't understand those charts thier confusing to me pls. help, coco is 25wks old, (5 1/2 months) and currently weighs 4 1/2 -5 lbs :D |
For Coco: The chart is in ounces so you take her weight which is say 4 1/2 pounds and figure out how many ounces she weights. 1 pound=16 ounces Coco is 4 1/2 pounds=72 ounces Then you go on the chart to how many weeks she is (25) and go across that line to her weight, then look at the bottom line to see what she should weight full grown. Coco should be 5.5 pounds. |
oh wow! that's perfect  thanks so much! |
just to let you know these charts aren't always accurate. My yorkie should weigh 5 lbs according to the chart and if I go by his parents size he should be about 4 lbs. My little guy is a whopping 6 1/2 lbs! He hit a growth spurt just before his 1st birthday. His size is not an issue to me because he's my heart, but some people get really hung up on size! ;) On the other hand my chihuahua should have been closer to 6 lbs according to the chi chart and her parents size and she's 18 months and only 3 lbs. So it goes both ways. |
IMO , it is a question of genealogy . Sometimes the grand-parents , great - grand parents etc are big . |
