Well we have Lucy which she wasnt really named after anyone she just looked like a Lucy to us. THEN we just added a little boy to the family a week ago Monday and so we though sure why not we have Lucy lets call him Ricky. So we have Lucinda (Lucy) and Ricardo (Ricky). So I guess we have the I Love Lucy theme going, huh. I havent introduced him to YT yet so I guess I better do that. He is 4 months old. I will post some pics soon. Kelli |
My previous yorkie had a movie nickname... Although her regular name wasn't from TV (it was Corky because she was "Corky the Yorkie"), more often than not we called her "Wookie" from Star Wars because when she was a little pup, she reminded us of Chewbacka (sp?):) |
"THe joker" From of course Batman. |
I did not go with movies, tv or books....but instead music - more specifically Jimmy Buffett songs...... *Lil Mis Magic (a song written about his daughter and the name my dad called me growing up!) *Sailor after several of his songs about sailors (like Sail on Sailor) *Captain Tony is the main character in his song Last Mango in Paris (his AKC name is Primeblu Last Mango in Paris) And I am sure when I get another pet - it will be named along the same lines!! I still have lots of potential names from all his music! |
Another Buffett fan here. Bubba is Jimmy Buffett's family nickname and since we wanted a bigger yorkie we called him Bubba (which also means brother) when we got a female we called her Sissy. Funny thing is they look alike only she is smaller |
:animal37 Jackson Daniel became Jack In The Box, :aimeeyork Rocky is Jingle Bell Rock, baby :aimeeyork "Nicky" was Little St Nick is now Chewbacca baby:aimeeyork "Dora" the Explorer is now Rainbow baby:aimeeyork "Boots" the Monkey (Dora's friend) |
Well, Toto was named after the little dog "Toto" in the Wizard of Oz.:p |
I'm afraid my Sawyer is as close as I'll get to heaven; but cuddling with him is always a treat. I just feel bad about having him neutered!! Lol:D |
When we bought Bisucit, our Maltese, we really weren't sure what to name him. Later that afternoon we were reading the paper and there was a huge full-page ad for the movie "Seabiscuit", the famous race horse. Thus the name 'Biscuit' was born! When we decided to get our Yorkie we wanted a name that would go well with 'Biscuit' so we named her 'Muffin'. (We love baked goods!!!:D ). Now we are getting our beautiful little 9-month old in a couple of weeks and she has been named 'Rocha' by the breeder. She is called 'Rocha Rue'. Apparently 'Rocha' means 'glory'. While her name isn't any sort of food group, it's still so dang cute and different so we're pretty sure we are going to keep her name. |
What a bunch of sweet names! Rocha sounds like a yummy food to me. We have General Chewbacca, I have never really seen Star Wars, but I think he has his movies confused. He thinks hes Jaws ROFL! |
We thought of Bernie's name while thinking of Weekend At Bernie's. My Bernie is quite the character - the name is fitting for him. :) |
Well I am not sure if this counts, because my puppy was named what she is for two reasons. Her full name is Britain Ella Badcrumble. Now Britain is because I am full blooded English and very proud of it. My favorite comedian is Eddie Izzard who is also English. His mother's name was Ella and she died when he was a small child. Badcrumble comes from one of his stand up shows where he created a clarinet teacher called Mrs. Badcruble. Its a bit silly I know, but so is she......so it suits her |
Adie is named after the little girl in Paper Moon. |
we have our little tinkerbell- and lucy in the sky with diamonds-does that count? :) |
Shooter is named after Shooter Jennings, Waylan's son.:yorkietal |
