Peeka Is Acting So Weird!!!
 
He has been moping around for 3 days he just sits by the door and sleeps by the door i don't know what is wrong with him??? we have been seeing a lot of puppies the last few days and he has had lots of fun playing with them and my breeder brought his mom and sis over a few days ago. Do you think he is depressed? he isn't sick just mopey and sad. Do you think he senses we are getting a new baby? i feel so sad for him.

He is probably missing playing with the other puppies but no worries, in a couple days his new buddy will be there and will be sooooooo happy.

I had a cat years ago and I notice her always sitting at the bottom of the front door. It seemed strange to me. I took her to the vet and she had fever and she was sitting by the door to cool off from the little bit of air that blows under the door. Pretty weird, but smart.

Thats exactly what he is doing right under the door or leaning on it weird. how do i check for a fever?

Feel his ear tips. They should be warm, but not HOT. Then there's always the butt thermometer if you need to be SURE:eek:

I hope it's just him feeling a little lonely after all that fun the last few days.

his ears are cold lol. he just moseied his butt up and picked a fight with the cat lol

Ok i have to tell you this last night when we were going to see a puppy Peeka was sitting on my lap in the car (i know don't yell at me) but he was acting weird like he was wobbiling like he was either gonna pass out or he was falling a sleep sitting up well he just did it again by the door and layed down and he went to sleep is this weird? I have never seen him do this before:eek:

Hmm, that is strange! Maybe you could call the vet in the morning and ask them what they think? It might just be a weird new thing he's doing and doesn't seem like an emergency situation, like he's ill or anything, right? He's eating well and all that, yes?

I can't help but worry about every little thing my babies do too;)

no he was playing tug a war with me a few min ago but then he will go sit in front of the door and look at me all sad then he leans up on the door and then goes to sleep? I will call the vet tomarrow. OMG he is gonna give me a corinary worring lol

Ok you guys are gonna laugh at this you are gonna die!!! It snowed really bad here and i usually shovel a path in the snow for Peeka the whole length of the yard (he will not walk in snow) well i only shoveled a little bit this time and i have been taking him out a lot and he hasn't pooped much i have found some poop in the house well i decided to go out and shovel the whole path right now i took him out he ran wild pooped and now seems fine???:confused: :confused: seriously he has been out 50 times today now he is eating to how weird? if that is all his problem was i am gonna fall off my chair in shock lol...... oh wait as i was finishing he went back to the door lol

IMO (and I am certainly no expert, just a paranoid yorkie mommy ;) ) when your dog has been around other dogs and then suddenly starts acting "weird" that's a huge red flag. You mentioned you had been seeing lots of puppies over the last few days, which means he was exposed to them and anything/everything they might be carrying - do you think he might have caught something from any of them? It definitely sounds like a trip to the vet would be worth it (to put your mind at ease if nothing else) or at least a phone call to see if they would recommend you bring him in.

I know that my dogs usually will run around for awhile before doing the bad,lol. So maybe he just needed his run about space to get a good bad out-lmao. I hope he is feeling his old self again. If it loos normal he's probably fine.:rolleyes: And thats good;)

I will call my vet tomarrow just in case but he seems better now lol he is sleeping at my feet again instaed of the door lol

I called the vet and he said he sounded fine that maybey he wants to go out more and get more excersice also he said he might be depressed form all the action and now he has non.but.......
To top it off 30 min after i got off the phone with him my son who is 6 was eating some beef jerky well he threw that water absorber thingy (plastic packet)in it in the garbage but missed so Peeka ate it:eek: :eek: OMG i had to call the vet again and sound like a total idiot!!! I just want today to be over!! BTW the vet said it wouldn't hurt him i just had to give him some milk

I think i figured it out he wants to be outside i think there is a female in heat because i seen his lipstick come out for the first time tonight:eek: :eek: and he sits by the door

Diesel has done this before. The only difference is that there wasn't a female around. I am wondering if he isn't a little depressed. When I play with Keira mine gets all bent out of shape. He gets very jealous and will start to mope around. I would make sure everything is ok before getting another dog. Hope he feels better.

Poor Peeka, he wants to go out and play! I'm sure he'll be fine. My Bengi has his days too when he looks kinda depressed, but then he's back to normal.
