Any Babies Attached To Their Blanky's ? When we brought Abbie home we stopped to buy a baby blanket for her bed to help keep her warm. She is so attached to this blanket that if she sees me take it out of her bed to wash it she starts jumping around like a maniac doing circles and follows me into the laundry room while I put it in the washer. Then she will keep going back in there until it comes out of the dryer. She loves it when I put her on it all nice and warm. I had one of my daughters who was very attached to her blanket, but this is the first dog that has behaved this way. |
1 Attachment(s) Sherman is attached to his blanket. When we brought him home my 14 year old son put his old baby blanket in Sherman's little "Build a Bear" house for him to sleep with. Now when he decides he wants to sleep with Bentley and Cha Cha in their beds he drags his blankie over to them. It's so cute to watch him drag it all over the kitchen floor! |
Simon definitely has a blankie. He sleeps with it every night. In fact, he likes to "nurse" off of it, I guess he was taken from his mother too soon. He just like, sucks on it until he falls asleep. Does anyone else's yorkie do this? |
Loki isn't attached to any one blanket, but instead he loves ALL blankets. Even if he has the whole couch to himself and the blanket is folded in a small square he will lie on the blanket. When I wash them and take them all out of the dryer he does a little happy dance. He has his own blankets that he loves but he also claims all of mine. |
Archie has a complicated relationship with his blankie! He does suck on it like he is nursing -- usually when he is sleepy. BUT -- the other thing he does is hump his blankie (yes, he's been neutured!). He won't hump anything or anyone else, just his blankie. When I put it in the wash, believe me, I hold it by the very edge! For this reason, he does not sleep with his blankie -- I'm not sure he would get much sleep! |

LillyBelle isnt attached to her blanket, but she IS attached to her rawhide birthday card, she got back in the summer. She carries it everywhere, tries to bury it, off and on during the day, then she goes and gets it and puts it somewhere else. When its about 9pm, EVERYDAY, she goes and gets it and waits at the bottom of the stairs with it in her mouth, because its time to go to bed, she gets in our bed, buries it again and goes to sleep. In the morning, she wakes up, gets her card, holds it in her mouth, ready to go downstairs, bury the card somewhere and repeats the process all over again. |
Muffin has a love/hate relationship with her fleece blanket. She will get all wound up, digging & attacking it & finally flinging it on the floor like it's the most horrible thing ever invented. But heaven forbid my husband or I try to touch it! Yipes, it's hers & don't even think about it. :) When I have to launder it, it's like a covert military operation...my husband usually has to distract her long enough for me to get it in the washing machine & then we just keep our fingers crossed until it comes out of the dryer. Both of mine love their blankies. I put them in their beds and they cuddle up to them. |

That is so funny and cute! |
Toto got a yellow blankie with a stuffed dog head on one end. He finally got the dog head off and carries it around, but doesn't give a diddly squat about the blankie! He does strange things. |
Rocky has tons of baby blankets, but he's not as attached to any of them as much as he's attached to my clothes. I'm always finding my clothes dragged into his bed..and actually right now he's sleeping on a pile of my clothes on my bathroom floor :p |
