My Montana left me on New Year's eve Such a crappy way to start the new year! I had to put my old Golden Ret., Montana, to sleep on New Years eve. It was sooo hard! She had been with us for 14 1/2 years. She had been doing really good except for being so skinny. She started throwing up on Sat evening and threw up all night. I took her to a 24hr clinic and they said that she had massive fluid in her lungs and that her heart was just giving out, so we made the decision to put her to sleep. Even though they were not my regular vet, they were very kind. Indy was funny for a couple days, wouldn't play and was very quiet. Hunter and Kansas were the same way. It's amazing how intuitive dogs are. They knew that something really bad was wrong because they wouldn't go near Montana all morning before we took her the vet. I know it was her time, but it is still so hard to let go. On the positive side, Indy's second bile acid came back normal, so now we have 2 normals in a row. He has to go back for an ultrasound before they will close his case, just to make sure that the shunt closed down this time. I'll keep you posted. Thanks for listening!! |
I am so sorry to hear about your loss . You are in my thoughts and prayers . |
OMG im so sorry about your loss...and our prayers are with you! |
I am so sorry for your loss. Yes, it is so heartbreaking to say good bye to a beloved pet. Think of all the wonderful memories the two of you have made together over the years. That is something no one can take from you. I hope your heart heals soon. Carol & Buddy |
I'm so sorry for your loss. As time goes on the good memories remain and the bad just sort of fade away. |
I'm so sorry :( |
I\'m so terribly sorry about Montana. Its really hard to loose a beloved family member. |
I am sorry for your loss -- it sounds like Montana had a long, loved life. May she RIP. At least the new year brings some good news for your Indy. I hope your pain is eased some by sweet memories. I still well up occasionally after the loss of our Maggie this past year -- but I try to remember we gave her the best life we could while she was with us and she definately gave back ten-fold. |
Please accept my condolences on the loss of your beloved Montana. My Mozart is into his 13th year, and I just can\'t even think about this home without him. |
I\'m so sorry :( |
I\'m so sorry:cry: That must have been the hardest thing you ever had to do, but it was the KINDEST:love: Hugs to you and your family! |
How horrible for you. I am so sorry for your loss. |
I\'m so sorry...that\'s one of the hardest things we have to do in life but the most compassionate....so sorry for your loss. |
I am sorry for your loss River. The last thing I want to do is offend anyone, but your dog\'s name reminded me of one of my favorite songs, and I hope it might comfort you: We don\'t know why but when the world is lost in shadows there is a light that will remain. The love He gave, that cared enough to die, is as endless as the Montana sky." "Montana Sky" - Whiteheart Bless you. |
Im so sorry about Montana passing on. You gave her a wonderful 14 1/2 years and Im sure she knows that. I hope you find comfort in the wonderful memories you share. On a positive note.... Im so happy to ready that Indy BAT was normal |
