What is Champion Registery
 
I found this puppy that is registered under the Champion Registery. can anyone tell me what that is. Please Help!!:confused:

Maybe they mean there are champions in the dog's registered pedigree? I do not know of a dog registry called Champion.

Parents are AKC but puppy is Champion
 
The parents of the pup is AKC registerd, but the pup is Champion Reg. Can I still get his papers from AKC for the puppy or not. The guy that I am buying the puppy from had a heart attack, so I am dealing with his friend now. He doesn't know much about all this, and I don't either. If I have the papers from the Champion, I should be able to get his AKC papers too, right??

I have heard of some registry online called Champion registry. However it is a scam.
For your puppy to be AKC registered, both the parents must be AKC registered and must be on open papers, not limited registration. The breeder then has to register the litter after it is born. The breeder of the puppies will then get the litter registration issued by the AKC and a form for the individual registration for each puppy in the litter. The Individual Dog registration is then submitted to the AKC that will register the puppy and also transfer ownership to the new owner. In the AKC, the breeder/seller can give you the Individual dog registration form and you can fill it out and send it in yourself.
No way will AKC accept anything from registries such as the Champion reigstry which is bogus anyway, nor do they accept anything from APRI, UKC etc
You can register a dog AKC if it is registered with the Canadian KEnnel Club or other country registration recognized by the AKC.

Only if the litter was registered. You could write or phone the AKC and find out if it was. Give the names and registration numbers of the parents, birthdate of your puppy.

If both parents had a full registration (not limited), then the litter can be registered. When the litter is registered by the mother's owner, AKC sends 0out an application for registration for each puppy in the litter. When you buy the puppy, you should get an application to register the puppy. If you do not have that -- no, you can not register with AKC.
