If anybody saw my post on trying to get hair bows to stay in, you know how bad I feel about accidentally clipping the skin of Oscar's scalp with his tiny jaw clip when I put his top knot up the other day! :( He hated the act of getting that hair clip in and hated even more hearing "she is so cute!"...LOL So I took him to the groomer and we now have a new snazzy hair cut! I love him this way. It is really hot and humid here and he seems to enjoy it as well...and no more hair bows and no more fighting to get them to stay in. Oscar has really fluffy hair, it does not lay down very well. Here is a before and after pic...one taken the night before the grooming and the other taken a day after...different huh?

He is soooo cute - I love his 'do' !

he looks like he's going to have lots of hair and he's got really pretty coloring ..he's a gorgeous boy !

Oscar reminds me of Chanel soo much with that hair ! She has cottony hair also but with really good shampoos and some light oil - you can help it while it grows - she used to have huge hair - now it lays better -

Thanks...I agree...he has a ton of hair! We are going to keep this through the summer and see where we are in the fall. One thing I did notice, is that the texture of his hair now that it is short is like silk...so maybe it will grow back out really silky and not so cottony. He really looks leggy now that all the fluff is gone! He will be 8 months on the 22nd of this month...time has really gone by fast with this boy! I think his back is going to stay black like his daddy's...but you never know! Thanks for the compliments on my boy...we love Chanel, too...Oscar sends sloppy sugar her way!

Oscar is absolutely adorable, I love his coloring. Jack loves his new haircut too, I don't have to spend 15 minutes pulling all the tree droppings and dead leaves out of his hair after a walk.
I love to see the dogs with all that flowing hair, but I can't imagine how much time that must take to keep them looking so gorgeous.

Sorry, I missed this thread when I answered the first one. Jack's hair is now silky too, and was fuzzy before his cut last week. He will be 7 months on Monday the 16th. I know too what you mean about leggy, also his "male parts" are quite distinct. I hope his body catches up to his legs soon.

How cute Oscar looks!!!!! Such a handsome boy. We cut Luig like that a couple monthes ago. Its getting longer againa and don't know if we should cut it again..

You know, I am not sure! I asked her to cut his head kind of like a Westie and cut his body to match. His body hair is about an inch long...maybe a little longer on the legs? You are more than welcome to print his picture and take it with you if you would like. If you can't see it well enough, email me and I will take you some more detailed pics! My email is debogee123@aol.com. Oscar really seems to enjoy his haircut...much less fuss from me and that pleases him!!!

Yeah...the "family jewels"...they be a shinin!!! Oscar doesn't know it yet, but real soon, those "jewels" are gonna get "pawned". The breeder we got him from mentioned that she might want to use him for stud, but I have heard way too many horror stories about perfectly behaved young males losing all of their house manners once they are bred. Oscar is 100% house broken to go outside and I don't want to chance him reverting. He is 8 months old and I think it is about time...plus he has some teeth that need to come out as well.

That little boy haircut is just precious! Is it shaved between his eyes? I've been trying to let Bo's grow out but my family complains that they can't see his eyes. Bo goes to the groomers this week. I may ask for the Westie cut too. Love the pics. He is a very handsome young man!!

Yes, Oscar's hair is shaved between his eyes. I knew he had pretty eyes, I was just never able to see them. I could see them glinting every now and then through the bangs...LOL Thanks EVERYBODY for your compliments on Oscar! We think he is the best.
