Care Credit A very sweet person sent me this link. It's a great idea to get in case of emergency with your baby. You essentially see your vet and the card is charged for the visit...comes in handy for big bills. You pay monthly with no interest and can pick your payment term time. I think it's a good thing for those of us that have way too many expenses to pay for pet insurance that we may or may not need. Honestly I can't afford to pay pet insurance for two dogs being as I have a lot of financial obligations and three small children. So when this came across my lap I thought it was a great deal. It will come in handy for the emergencies that can arise. It's from GE Bank which is very reputable. They are my clients....;0) www.carecredit.com |
Thanks. I had heard of this but was not aware it could be used for pets. The only problem I see is that you have to use one of their providers. Its like an HMO. My vet is not on their list. It is something to keep in mind though. |
be careful of the terms of this credit card. but definitely a good idea for a rainy day in the event of an emergency. limitations: - you have to go to providers in their network for the card to work. - interest-free payment plans only apply to purchases of $300 or more - interest rate on this credit card is 22.98% - not all providers will offer the extended payment plans |

The rate on the card goes to 22.98% if you default on your payments. The girl that recommended it to me charged something under the $300 biggie interest free limit and she pays $2.10 a month in interest on the card. My Vets and their Clinic is in that network so that is why it works out well for me. It's something to think about though and can help in a pinch. |
