How many of you have been asked this? I guess this applies mostly to "pet" owners out there. When I got Kimber - who is my first Yorkie - my friend (who I am really not friends with anymore), and is one of those people that knows everything about dogs said, and I quote... "Why dont you pay for breeding rights? You would make so much money" me-"Ummm, b/c she's a pet - and I would have no idea how to breed a dog PROPERLY - she's my baby, I don't want her to have babies" I thought this was hilarious. This is from a girl who mocks anything everyone else does, I basically took it as she was trying to make me sound cheap because I want a pet and not a yorkie. This is also from a girl who suddenly had "always wanted a yorkie" when I told her I was getting one. Then why did she buy a norweigan elkhound the month prior? I was just wondering if anyone else has received comments like this? |
Nooooo.... ...haven't received any comment like that. Just wanted to drop in and say: Kimber is toooooo CUTE! :D |
ahhha Thank you! She is an absolute doll - I am very fortunate :) P.S. - I added you on Dogster! |
Haven't heard that one, but I was asked if he could be used for breeding. I waited to have him neutered so he could mate with another one after her pup got bigger. The lady moved without saying anything, and I could've had him neutered by now, so I was uptight. |
I have been asked if I was going to breed My two since I have a male and a female and i gt them when they were both young. They have the same father though and that is yucky. Plus I will just leave breeding up to the breeders |
I have been asked if I want to stud my boy............uhm, NO! lol He is not a breeding machine. If I want another yorkie(s)..........I'll BUY another one............that's my answer. Jess |
I have been asked several times if I was thinking of breeding Zoe. People don't realize that breeding is hard work and you need to know what you are doing. On top of that, your dog has to be 100% healthy. ZOe is healthy but had surgery for LP so thats a big NO NO. |
When I see another Yorkie lover out and about, I get asked that every now and again...in Germany people LOVE SMALL DOGS, so there always asking where I got my Bella and etc. bc she is smaller then my Bunny (Bunny 7lb and Bella is 3lb)... and I tell them no way!! she is full grown and 3lb is WAY to small to breed! It would hurt or even kill my little baby. NO way! Even thou my breeder said she would be 7 to 8 lb and she is NO where near that. BUt she is my BABY I would love her no matter what her size is! :P If I want another furbaby, I will go back to my breeder and get another one. Like I did with my Bella, after I got my Bunny. like chachi said " I will just leave breeding up to the breeders" |

Ohhh yes that's my opinion. I guess - well I don't know how to explain it through typing. It was the way she said it - like acting as if I were cheap because I wasn't going to bread my PET - my FRIEND.... I just turned around and asked if she was going to pay for breeding rights for her elkhound. People get jealous so easily... |
I was also told I should breed my two and I'm like no way, plus I signed a contract that I will spay London and I think she will be way too small anyway unless she has a growth spurt but I wouldn't do it anyway. |
I've had "friends" like that before, always throwing you zingers. Life is too short to include people who are always trying to put you down. Nancy |
I have often gotten asked the question if I am going to breed Shadow! I just say No, he is my baby and I also have a full black lab that I get asked the same question. I'm not interested in breeding...they are my BABIES even tho my lab is 95lbs LOL  :D |

by the way...your babies are adoreable! |
yorkie I was talking with a friend yesterday and I told her my Kirby was getting spayed next week she looked at me shocked and said you could make a fortune you should breed her, I looked at her and said my vet said she is to small and I have no desire to put her through that. |
