does your yorkie/s like .... to sit on your lap ? be petted? Brownie does not at all anyone elses yorkie like that ? he rather us just throw a toy lol |
yes rocky is the same way lol he would MUCH rather throw a toy and play with it then sit on mommys lap ... LOL |
As Cali is geting older, 18 months now she is getting more of a snuggler. |
Roxie likes to lay on my left side, not my lap. She hates to be carried and will gladly give you a kiss if you will only let her down. She's not that keen on petting either but she loves to have her butt scratched. She's rather cat like. I've found quite a few yorkies don't care that much for petting. Maybe it pulls on their hair? |
Siu Pao used to like that when he was 3 months old. Now that he is 6 months old, he is so independant. He wouldn't even want to sit on my lap or cuddle :( Hopefully when he gets older, he wants to snuggle with mommy again. I miss that. |

Tiger will crawl up into our laps if we're sitting on the sofa. He is so cute because he rolls himself up into a little ball. He also likes to lay with whoever is sitting in the recliner with the legs up and will snuggle up next to your legs. |
Gracie loves to snuggle, but only after she is tired of playing! If I am on the sofa, she will crawl up on me and snuggle on my shoulder in the crook of my neck. At night, she spends all night snuggled in my left arm pit, sometimes under the covers if it is really cold. |
Lily likes to play till she is worn out then she likes my lap or anyone elses for that matter. |
Gypsy is the opposite. She would rather cuddle then play. She is starting to get a little more active at times, but she is a major cuddler. |
Jewels will sit on My lap. Chachi will sit on his Daddys lap but not mine. He mainly likes to play though |
If were not playing, then Rocky likes to sit on my lap. He's on my lap right now actually. |

My morkie Chino loves to lay on our laps and next to us when we sleep. He loves playing with the cat but we can not seem to get him to play with us. Good thing I read this cuz I though all Yorkies were lap dogs. |
Magic loves to play ball, but when quiet she will gladly take a lap or blanket. Sailor and Captain both love laps.......Captain especially wants to be in a lap if someone is sitting on the floor. I do agree that as they get older, they love lap time more and more! |

Buddy is a lap dog. As soon as I sit he is on my lap. Actually he is always there! Looking at me, jumping up on my leg. laying at my feet when I do my hair, walking across my dresser while I pick out earrings in the am. He is like my shadow. Stedman LOVES to sit in our laps - however, SOMETIMES, he does not want to be petted. He doesn't mind being petted on his back, but he's not too fond of being petted on the top of his head :rolleyes: I don't know, I guess it all depends on what kind of mood he's in - I swear, my little guy has his own personality, lol :rolleyes: |
My yorkie hated to be sit on our lap when he was a puppy...now he do it sometimes, but he is still very independent, and not cuddly. My chihuahua on the other hand, she wants to be on my laps all Day long... She starts to cry if i am not taking her :) |
Chewy loves to lay on a lap and fall asleep but only when he is tired... He seems to rellax in the morning and in the evening mostly. But he also loves to run and play, and get in to trouble... :D |
he loves to play but I have to say Grayson loves his snuggle time with mommy. He loves my lap and loves to be rubbed on, he's in my lap now!! |

Riley is definitely a lap dog! And she goes from me, to my husband, to my son or daughter. Which is really nice because we all get to love on her & she get a LOT of love! |

Tetley is a total snugglebug. If there's a lap available, you can bet he'll find a way to get in it. He loves being petted too...I can handle him anywhere with no fuss. He just hates it when I pick up a comb and try to groom him when I'm supposed to be petting him! |
Rosie would rather play too. Sometimes, she has the toy in her mouth with her eyes shutting and her head jerking. Haha. She tries so hard to stay awake to play. Try a 2-3 mile walk.:eek: After her long walks, Rosie becomes a snuggler. |
Oh yeah. She also used to hate being pet, especially when she slept. We kept petting her until she got used to it. Now she loves to be pet. |
