Little Maddie's Eating... Well here lately My Maddie wont eat her food til I get home from work. She just sits and saves it. Its so funny. If hubby gets home first she still won't eat it. As soon as I'm home and she sees me, then she will start eating it. There for a while she would only eat her evening dinner with Lexi (my 2 year old) feeding it to her piece by piece. She is so funny. I worry because, My neice, (who just started college) would come to my house during the day 3 days a week since we live right by the college and hang out between classes and gave Maddie all kinds of attention, Well now she is done with the semister and transferred to Ivy Tech so she is not coming. That is about the time Maddie started doing this. Whats up??? I think I will start bring Maddie to work with me 3-4 days a week. I already bring my 2 year old with me and was going to start bringing Maddie, but she is trained to go outside and there is no real place here for her to do that. I thought about bringing in the xpen and covering the floor with pee pads and hope when its time to potty she will go in there (If I put her in there) and do her business. Then I worry it will mess her up at home??? Any advice as to why she is waiting to eat, and advice about the work thing???? Thanks!! |
That little turd! hahaha!! I thought that would get some attention. I can say that because she used to be my little turd. :p I love her to death!!! Her eating issues are very normal. Denise--you know all of my little turds at home----well they do the exact same thing. Full bowl of food in the mornings and still full until I get home, then they start eating. It's like it has a little invisible electric fence around the bowls and then when I walk in the door, the fence goes away and they start chowing down. Crazy!! As far as taking her in to work, and doing the potty pad thing, I would be afraid she might want to do that at home too, maybe not, she might be able to differentiate between the two places as to where and when she is suppose to go. You have an awesome place to work with being able to take Lexi and all her play things, I bet Harrold would plant a little grass bed for Maddie to go in. haha! Give her kisses for me! Happy New Year!:p |
I would be too afraid to chance it Denise. She may not be able to tell the difference. Our Penny (Golden Retriever) has gone 3 days without eating when the boys go to scout camp. She loves us all, but loves hubby the most. When I asked my Vet about it, he said when she gets hungry she'll eat.... and sure enough (they left on a Friday night) she was eating by Tuesday morning and then ate every day after. |
I'd love to hear an answer to this, our zoe does this too! |
