Throwing up My son has been throwin up all day. And now Tink has thrown up twice tonight. I feel stupid asking this but dogs can't get people viruses can they?? |
I'm not sure if things can be passed back and forth but I hope they both feel better soon! Are you sure it's not sympathy on Tink's part? I know if Riley sees Jo throw up he will too...he just can't take it! |
Hmmm, don't know, I know we can pass stuff back and forth but I don't know about viruses. Could they both have eaten the same thing that didn't sit well with them? |
It's definitely more likely they have shared some type of bacteria... A virus is unlikely. Or could she just be nervous because you are probably nervous? Are there any symptoms besides the throwing up? Loki will sometimes puke and then resume his normal activities like nothing happened... |
A lot of my family that was at the Christmas get together is throwing up. Seems my baby niece had been throwing up the day before and was still not feeling well on christmas day, she nicely shared germies with everybody. So my son definately has whatever she had. Tink just ate some of her dinner, let's hope she keeps it down. I'm quite tired of cleaning up puke! |
I hope they are both feeling better soon. I don't know if they can catch a virus. |
Yes, they can share certain viruses and bacteria. You know what's weird, Jodi? I had a stomach bug for three days, then both my dogs plastered the living room furniture with puke when we were at work Tuesday, then my son came down with a vicous case of it last night. He was so sick, he broke blood vessels in his eye. He looks like night of the living dead this evening, but he's feeling better. Miss Pippa is still acting like she doesn't feel great, but no more vomiting. Scout is back to normal. They seemed to have a shorter course than we did. I definetely think they caught it because they were in my face and right next to me constantly during the worst part of my illness. |
I wonder if we all have that cruise ship virus...what's it called? Norovirus or something...hehehe |

I'm sorry your son is sick i emphasize with you my 1 1/2 yr old started throwing up at 1:30 a.m Christmas morning and then i got sick yesterday and my 6 yr old got sick last night the flu is going around bad here i have been in bed for 2 days this is the first time i have been able to get out of bed. I don't think dogs can get or pass illness to humans except for worms. Hope your son feels better soon. |
