can yorkies get hickups? My little bella is doing this weird thing that sorta seems like a hickup. she doesnt seem to be in any pain, but it sorta seems like she is choaking, except that she is just laying down and every few minutes she stands up and starts to sorta hickup. she seems to be layign down happy now, but i was just wondering if yorkies can hickup? stupid question i am sure, but i figured i didnt know so i wouls ask.:) |
i wasnt sure about it myself....but one day Cooper began doing the same thing...it was kinda funny and didnt last very long. I'm sure it was the hiccups. |
Ye Chewy gets them all the time. Sometimes i think she may have eaten too fast and didnt drink. Trying to get her to drink some water is pointless but it usually goes away in a few minutes. |
Yep - Tinkerbelle gets them alot. I just pat her over my shoulder like burping a baby and they go away. |
Yep, Tatum had them earlier today. It's only the second time I've noticed her having them. I held her and patted her back for a few minutes and they went away. Just like having a baby sometimes! ;) |
Thanks everybody....it seems that the hicchups or whatever it was has gone away. i will keep in mind for next time to pat her back though. thanks again!!! |

Lilo gets them all the time. my vet told me not to worry about it BC she will grow out of it. So...... I'm not worried!!! |
milo gets hiccups when he is cold, and his little brother max now does the same...... |
Yes! Pippa gets them quite a lot! |
I think they get hiccups more when they are puppies. Mine had them all the time when they were little, but not so much since they've gown up. :aimeeyork |

Encourage a drink of water, or wet the chow lightly and let it set avout 5 minutes before feeding. Spofford2... Vicki + Loki |
Yes. Cody gets them. It is just precious. |
Oh heah... they do have hiccups... Maggie has it all the time!! So funny:p Don't worry about it, my German Shepards and my Poodle had it too, and it goes away by itself in less than a minute!!;) It happens more often in pups but can happen in older age dogs too, no big deal though... Katiuscia & Maggie...:aimeeyork |
well its good to know what it was then...everything went away fine....now at least i know not to worry....:) |
