Tish should be okay and follow what the vet says and give her lots of love and attention. |
Tish is going in tomorrow to be spayed Now I am getting worried! I have to bring her in and they wanted to keep her over night. Then I find out that there is no there after 10pm till the next morning. I told them I was going to take her home the same day. AM I WRONG in doing this???How can they watch her if no one is there? |
I would still leave her. They will check on her just before leaving. Chances are that she will be very groggy from the anesthesia and will sleep right through the night. Then they can give her a thorough check first thing in the morning. I understand how you feel......it's hard.....they are sooooo little...... |
It is hard to have to leave them over night. Some vet's don't let you bring them home. I brought my two home, neither like to be in a kennel so I was scared they would wake up and freak out. Just talk to the vet when you drop her off, tell the vet how you feel about leaving her. If there is no other dog at home that will want to play with her, I think it is better to have them at home where they know you are there. We all know how yorkies are velcro dogs. She will be fine and back to normal before you know it, but she is your baby and you will worry. You and Tish are in my prayers. Please let us know when she out of surgery....................Cindy |
Tish will be fine, it's you we worry about lol! I was awful when Gypsy Rose was spayed and she was unwell for the 1st 24 hours I must admit but then all of a sudden she was ready for her walk and was fine. I felt such a sense of relief that it ws all over and knew I'd done the right thing (have to go through this with Gizzie yet!!). Gypsy also had baby teeth (5 in her case!) and I had her microchipped too - a great idea plus we had to as our girls will go over to Spain to live as we have a place over there. However, they do not do a tag to put on the coller here - that sounds a great idea! Yes, I put onesies (babygros) on Gyps but I never did them up underneath, just cut them but they were still long enough to prevent her getting her stitches. You may find Tish doesn't try to anyway. Let us know how she is and whether you leave her overnight or not - we'll be here!! Love, Ana xx |
I agree with fasteddie lots of love and attention. Charlie did very well with his I had him fixed and four baby teeth pulled. lol |
well I decided to leave her there over night. She was shaking like a leaf when I left. I feel so guilty leaving her alone. :( . They called and said she was doing fine. I went out and bought her some new toys and chew bones. I also cleaned her play pen. I miss her so much already. I think I will go and call them now and see how she is doing. |
Glad to hear Tish is doing well. She will be glad to see tomorrow. They are tuff little furbabies and she will be her self before you know it.............Cindy |
Tish is home now I picked her up this morning and yes I am more of a wreck then she is :) . She acts like nothing happened to her. Of course she poo-poo on the carpet but I expected that. I did clean her pen when she was gone and moved her pee pad a few feet. So she is a bit confused on why I did that. They like things staying in one spot. They said not to let her jump! How much is to much for her to jump and run? I have another question to ask you all. When I give Tish a greenie she acts like it is catnip for a cat. She runs around the whole house putting it in places that she cannot get it out. Is she trying to hide it from me? I am so glad to have her back home. I missed her last nite in bed, I barely slept thinking of her all alone in that cage at the vets. I am so glad that it is all over. Thanks everyone for your support........liz and Tish |
Happy to hear Tish doing well! If the docs say not to let her jump, try to not and let her jump anywhere for a while. Yoda flings his Greenies absolutely everywhere and yes, he'll fling it under the couch (where he can't get to) at times. I think he thinks it's a game sometimes, but then when he feels like it, he gets down to business and starts chewing/eating it like a madman. :) |
