What is your Yorkie's favorite TV program? I had to laugh at Gracie tonight. I was watching The Dog Whisperer and happened to glance over at Gracie, who was totally engrossed in the program! Does your Yorkie watch TV and if so, what is her/his favorite program? |
It's funny b/c I'm watching the Dog whisperer right now and Jerome who is next to me is watchin it too and moves his head sideways like trying to understand what they are saying. Sometimes when there are dogs barking in the show Chiquito goes bananas:) |
Dog Whisperer and Animal Planet. Actually, anything that have dogs barking will get Abbie's attention. She "goes bananas", too - running around, barking at the TV. Silly things .... |

When Debbie was young she used to watch TV and barked at the dogs on the Dog Show program. Now that she is all grown up she doesn't react to sounds on the TV. |
well whenever I watch Law & Order Maddie seems quite attentive. lol. tonight I was watching the Pink Panther movie (with Steve Martin) and there was a dog barking and Maddie started going crazy. Tucker doesn't really watch TV. :p |
Jazzie watches TV too! She will growl at cats & cows and will go ballistic when she sees a dog or horses! - She even sees the animals when they are far in the background! All our friends and family don't belive it untill they see her in "action" and get the biggest kick out of watching her watch the TV. She even barks at herself when we put on a video of her! |

We have never seen the Dog Whisperer.. it must be a good one! Once in awhile the dogs will bark at the TV if another dog is barking.... or if a doorbell rings. I have wondered if there were videos out that have close ups of dogs on the screen..... or even close-ups of cats!!! I think that would be entertaining.:) |
It's so great to hear that other Yorkies watch TV too! My mom's dog never watched TV and then when I got my yorkie she watches TV all the time--it's so cute! She also loves anything Animal Planet....but will also watch regular programming from time to time with me, especially if there are loud noises coming from the TV--hehe |
My bf says Windsor likes to watch Walker Texas Ranger with him..... I don't think he has a favorite but he does definitely watch TV. Last night I called my Dad and told him to turn on The Dog Whisper, hoping he'd get some tips on how to deal with his crazy Poodle. He said no that Doodle doesn't like Cesar and said "listen I'll ask him", "Doodle wanna watch The Dog Whisper?" Doodle started growling and Dad said "see I told you, he doesn't like it". |
My dogs will react to anything with animal sounds on TV. Snickers always barks and growls at the Dog Whisperer, and runs to the back of the TV to 'look for the dog'..lol They also react to cartoons - I think it's the animation. :animal36 |
Kodak focuses on the tv whenever he hears cats, dogs barking or birds. He just sits there and stares, it's comical. |
