Maddie's getting a baby sister!
 

I am soooo excited. I found out a bit ago that Maddie's and my Christmas present from my husband will be a baby yorkie! She will be Maddie's real sister as she will have the same parents. She hasn't been born yet...yikes...I hope there is a girl in that litter. I'm not sure when I'll get her...March, April or May...I will find out more info. I am so happy....but scared too! I just hope Maddie loves her new little sister and doesn't feel jealous or upset that we have a new puppy. One of the reasons he decided to do this was because Maddie had been so depressed, but she's snapped out of that a few weeks ago and I think it was probably that sore throat that took longer to clear up than what it should have.

Anyway, I will be anxiously awaiting the arrival of my little Libby. I've had that name picked out for some time and now I'll have my Maddie and Libby. YeeeeeeHaaaaaaa!

I came down sick for Christmas. I have a horrid headache, sore throat, aches, ear ache and feels like bronchitis. I think I will be staying home instead of celebrating. My sister was supposed to have Christmas dinner and she's also sick and so is my daughter. I think Christmas is cancelled.

Wow, that's OUTSTANDING news. Maddie is going to love her new sister. I wouldn't worry too much about jealousy. They all seem to work it out. But with a few months before the arrival date, it gives you time to research it in case something does come up.

Oh Connie. I am so sorry to hear your not feeling well. What a rotten time of the year to come down with the flu! We have had a couple of Christmases like that. Just keep the bird in the fridge till everyone feels better!

What exciting news about Libby. You are so lucky! Keep us posted as to when to expect the new arrival. Do you have a breeder close by? We take our boys down to the International Peace Garden camps every year so it wouldn't be that much more of a drive if we ever wanted to add to our family. :rolleyes:

Don't worry about Maddie... she'll do just fine. Bailey wasn't too sure about Tia when we got her but now they are best friends or should I say sibblings, they fight, but deep down they do love eachother.

Connie, I'm so sorry you're not feeling well! Just talked to another friend, who spent today in a First-Care with the same symptoms you have! Abbie sends *licks* to feel better quick!

That's great! The Yorkies I had before Sean were brothers (same parents, different litters), two years apart, and got along great. The younger one, though larger, knew he had to be respectful of his older brother.

Thanks everyone! I haven't heard any more details yet, but am anxious to hear when the litter is expected. I still feel like crud. This flu sucks. I slept most the day yesterday and think I'll do the same today!

How truly EXCITING!!!! I think having a sister will really help perk her up! When we got our yorkies, we just knew that our cranky "old man" cat would HATE them....but they've really sparked up his life, and it always amazes us to see him playing with them!

I looooove the name "Libby"! (I was going to name the daughter I never had "Elizabeth" and call her "Libby"! :p)
