YT rewards idea! Im a memeber of a few different forums (this is the only yorkie forum im on though). Most of the forums I post on have rewards. Your post count can be cashed in for prizes. Here's how it works: The good people on YT donate items such as "free t-shirt for your yorkie after 150 posts" etc. It can be anything you choose to donate but keep in mind there are a lot of people so you dont wanna go crazy promising gifts. Another way to reward the YT members is to give a prize to the person who has the longest thread of the week. Just a suggestion.. I would be willing to donate my services as well. Though I dont have clothing or anything like that, I can make custom graphics of your yorkie. Like desktop wallpaper, banners, animated avatars, etc. What does everyone think? We can finalize details later. Input is the main objective right now :) |
That's a great idea! However, it can be a bit hard to find people to donate items for it. We've had some great donations for our 50,000 Post Giveaway we had a month or so ago, but it seems like for a reward system, we'd need a LOT of stuff to give away! |

Maybe its me but that would seem like a huge administrative thing to do. I used to get on YT a few times a day and check in, well now at my new office I don't have the time I once did. At night when I do get in there are pages of new posts and it is quite a task to catch up. God help me if I miss a day or 2....point is this place has really grown which is FABULOUS!, but something like that may be hard unless you make the hurdles really high like a prize when you hit 500 or 750 or 100 posts....just my thoughts and everyone here is really helpful when needed, as a new yorkie owner this place answered a lot of my questions.....Jim |
