Prayers for Adie Adie goes under the knife tomorrow. She will be spayed in the morning. I'm so scared! It will make me feel a lot better if I know you all are praying for her. TIA |
Adie sweetie, Praying for a safe surgery and fast recovery...I'll be thinking about you tommorrow. |
Lots of prayers for Adie and mom. She'll do fine, I had Venus done last week. Sheesh, in a day or 2 she was all back to normal. But it don't keep us from worrying about them! |
We will be thinking of Adie, when we had Lottie done I was a nervous wreck she was great!!! |
A prayer's coming your way for Adie to have a safe surgery and a speedy recovery tomorrow. Carol & Buddy |
Praying for a safe surgery from a fellow Illinoisian. She is so cute! |
Gracie and I are sending well wishes your way for Adie. Gracie had her surgery today. It so helped to have the support of everyone here! I am sure Adie will do fine and she will be home with you before you know it. Take care baby girl Adie! |
Wishing Adie a speedy recovery! Lacey was just spayed two weeks ago. |
Update on Adie I just called the vet and she said Adie was doing fine. The surgery went off without a hitch. She was also microchipped and had 4 baby teeth removed. she was still sleeping when I called. I'll update again when I get her home. God is good, and so are you guys for sharing prayers. |

I bet Adie does just fine! You've got prayers & positive thoughts headed your way. Us Midwesterners are tough. I'm originally from Iowa/Minnesota/Illinois...pick one. Having your furbaby spayed is the best thing you can do. I am paying the price for not having it done & I wish I'd been stronger when Muffin was little. C.J. |
We are glad to hear that little Adie is doing well. Get well soon baby girl! |
Another update on Adie I brought Adie home last night and I honestly thought she could die. She was so miserable! She did eat a bit for me and I got her to take a little water from a syringe. But her breathing was so weird! About every third breath she would take a deep one like she was gasping for air. She was sitting with her head hanging down literally falling asleep. I caressed her little head and she leaned into it and just gave up and went to sleep. I left her that way for a while then eased her down. Once down she breathed normally. She got up once during the night to get a drink and pee but slept through the rest of the night. This morning.... She's baaaaaack! She ate like a little pig and and was walking around like nothing is wrong. I gave her a chew stick (which will keep her busy for hours) just to keep her settled. After nearly loosing her when she was 7weeks old I am super concerned about her health. I had to practically drag us to the vet for this spay. I cancelled twice because I wasn't ready! Sigh. I was never like this with my skin kids! Anyway, Adie is in great shape and I will be too as soon as I get some sleep! Thanks for the support everyone. |
I'm so glad to hear Adie is back to herself!! |
Prayers are comeing your way from Michigan |
Hip Hooray for Adie! Isn't it amazing how fast they can bounce back? Way faster than I can, that's for sure. I'm so happy that she's eating & feeling a little bit like herself. :) C.J. |
My vet will keep them overnight after a spay unless you request to come get them and keep them quiet at home. Paula (vet tech) told me it usually upsets some to see their babies so out of it from the anesthesia that first night. Venus rested a lot that first night, and I gave her water through a dropper, I was so worried about her. Later that night, she did eat a few bites of food. I also gave her some neutra cal, cause she hadn't had anything to eat in 20 hours! But next day.....lookout! She was up, and raring to go! |

Does anyone know how to keep a 7 month old live wire quiet for ten days?????? |
It is impossible to keep them calm for 10 days. Just don't let her get too rowdy. Lacey was running around like a lunatic almost immediatley after her surgery. Jumping onto the couch and even onto the bed. Luckily she was fine and healed perfectly. |

Poor baby! Just read this and am glad Adie is doing well. Thoughts on the way up for her speedy recovery and your mended nerves!:) |
I am so happy to hear that Adie is back to her old self! There is no way to keep a puppy quiet for 10 days, no way. I finally gave up on most of the activity restrictions for Gracie. I figured if she felt good enough to run and jump, then she can't be hurting much! I will hold off on long walks for a while though!;) |
