How often? How often ,do you take your dog's out per day for a walk? |
In the summer months it is too hot here for walks. Now that the weather has cooled we try & get them out for a half hour an evening. Any longer than that Misha wants to be carried. Piper can out last me, she loves her walks. |
Let's see........take them out on a WALK or out to potty?? They get an actual WALK right when I get home from work and then again right before I go to bed. Sometimes they get a walk in the mornings and on my lunchbreak, too, depending on the weather. As far as going outside to POTTY.... 7:00am 11:30am 5:00pm -- WALK 6:30pm 8:00pm 10:00pm -- WALK 3:00am |
I take mine out to potty 8am 8.30am walk for 15-20 mins 12.30 1.30 walk for 15- 20 mins 5pm 6pm walk for 1/2 hour - 1 hour most nights 8pm 9.30pm walk for 20 mins at the weekend we tend to go for 1 -2 hour walks in the afternoon to the beach or the forest. I just wondered what everyone else did? |
i take mine yorkie frankie 30 min.a day in the morning.and toy poodle coco i hour in the evening.they keep me fit..lol..:animal36 |
Julie - compared to you.... I'm the laziest mom out there :D I worry about big dogs in my neighborhood ...we've had several roaming and a pitt attack that killed a baby 4 months ago :( - but I DO have a park near me and come New Years think I'll start taking the girls to it more - |

I don't really take Teddy out that much cause it's getting too cold here and he just finished getting all his shots last month sooo only when it's warm enough I do and when I can't I let him run back and forth in my loooong building hallway. He loves that. |
We have about an acre of our property fenced, So, I don't so much take them out for walks as we let them out to run. I have to stay with them as they are little and I wory about everything from hawks, to cow ants and snakes. My husband and I were just talking about this yesterday. The weather has been very nice and we think they are out more than they are in. We take turns going out with them and when it is this nice we sometimes both go out and sit on the patio to laugh at their antics. They run so fast, they sometimes do summersaults when they stop or change direction. First one chases the other and then they reverse so the other can take the lead. We both agree we have never had this much enjoyment from pets before! |
I'm terrible about getting out and taking Maizee for walks. She goes outside to go potty alot, but she's not really fond of the outdoors unless its a perfect 70 degree day. I usually try to get in a walk about every other day, but she runs around the house so much and plays with my Golden Retriever that the exercise aspect is almost taken care of. |
I take Simon and Hallie for a walk every morning (even when I don't want to get out of bed), every evening, and at lunch if they aren't at daycare. We walk more on the weekends when I'm home and I'm going to start walking them further after the new year. The entire circle of my apartment complex is about 2 miles and right now we usually walk the mile. Wish Hallie luck, she would rather stay at home in bed :) haha |
In the summer I take Josie for 2-3 walks a day, however it is way to cold in the winter so we play games in the house for exercise. :animal37 |
We don't take walks. We'd get eaten by all the big dogs that people let run on their property out here. The girls run circles through the house all day long though, I'm sure they get enough exercise. |
