These pee-pee pads are driving me crazy!! Okay, does anybody out there know how I can convince Cali to LEAVE THE FRIGGIN' PEE PADS ALONE? When I am gone, she'll pull it up, drag it into the crate with her, and commence to tearing it up.  She even tries to do it while I'm there in front of her, but I always stop her. Ofcourse, then she doesn't have anything to pee on, so she pees and poops on my floor inside her little gated space in the kitchen, which totally defeats the whole purpose. :thumbdown Am I going to have to glue these stupide things down? Oh, and yes, I have the self-adhesive ones. And? That just adds to the excitement of getting the pad up. Please help! |
Maybe you could get one of those pee pad holders that lock the pad in place. I am thinking of ordering one -- Sadie seems to like to drag ours around too. Ben never bothers them but Sadie is a wild woman! Here is an example: http://www.amazon.com/Iris-301561-Pr.../dp/B0006ABVGG |
pad holders work wonders. .. i love them.. i have three |

My pup does the same thing and I think if I would leave him alone and the pad was on the floor he would tear it up also! :( |
My kids will rip to shreds the type of pads that contain baking soda. I don't know what the deal is.... but it only takes a few minutes and bits of potty pads are flying through the air. |
Well, I'm ordering one of those pad holders TODAY. I promise you if I get home from work one more day and she has dragged that stupid pee pad into her crate (knocking poop all over the place, mind you) I think I might cry. |
Before I got holders I would tape Jadens pee pads to the floor with duck tape. That way he couldn't pull it away and when I got hom I just untaped it and threw it away. Maybe you could give that a try until your holder arrives. |
Gracie does the same thing it is so annoying just lately she crumples them up! I will go to petsmart later may have to invest in a holder! |
Benji just started doing this like a week ago. I always have to get home before my boyfriend and clean it up so he doesn't get in trouble. I probably don't help much with that one. He gets in into a million little pieces too! |
My girls did the exact same thing. I would find little bits of cotton all over the place. The holders are the only way to go:woof: |
I used to have this problem all the time. All you have to do spritz some Bitter Apple on the back lining. Works for me every time...as long as I remember to do it! :) |
I posted this before, but when you get the pad holders, put some non-slip backing on it. I didn't and the first time Jazz went to use it, it rattled and scooted a bit on the floor and he freaked. Now he won't go near the pad holders. |
I use reusable pee pads..they wash up really nice and are bigger...Sadie used to do this when she was a puppy....Now that she is "mature" she watches her baby sister Lillie tear them to peices...(I put the paper ones down when I am washing the cloth ones) |
I also used duct tape about a month or so and tape them to the floor. Worked wonders! I no longer have to tape them now, and she's 6 months old. Suppose she decided she didn't need to eat anything she pees on:D |
morgan did this once. after that i took them away from her and strictly crated her in a 2x1 foot area of her crate. she was quite small at the time so this was in no way a very small area for her. she had plenty of room to sleep and eat but just no room to poop on something other then her bed. i solved that problem in just a few days. now she is in a play pen when i'm not home and still doesn't mess it up and i don't have to worry about her eating or tearing anything up. |
