So sorry OMG I just saw this thread and I am so sorry for Tia! She is the same age as Shylah and I couldn't even imagine going through this with her. I remember they were closed to the same size only I think Tia stopped growing and Shylah didn't she is almost 4 lbs now. My thoughts and prayers are with you and Tia while she goes through the surgery. Please keep us posted on how you and her are doing. You might think of getting insurance on her after this is all said and done for any future problems she may incur. Sounds like she is very delicate. Starsky and Shylah send lots of hugs and kisses her way!!:hearts-en |
poor baby. we send luv and hugs. |

I am sooooooooooo sad to hear about Tia's accident ... I do not know if this is allowed on here, but here I go .... YTers ---- I wonder if each of us gave $1.00 to Leslie, it might amount to quite a bundle to help her thru some of this ... Just a dollar ...think::::karma!!!! Leslie, why don't you post your e-mail addy so we can send some love and $$$ your way! |
Here's another option for you - It's a site called IMOM.org. PLEASE READ the application rules carefully to see if you can apply....this is copied from their home page ...this is the link - www.imom.org Our Mission Helping people help pets. To better the lives of sick, injured and abused companion animals. We are dedicated to insure that no companion animal has to be euthanized simply because their caretaker is financially challenged. Our Achievements Since 1998 hundreds of companion animals have been spared from euthanasia or lives filled with pain, with financial aid from IMOM. Hundreds of thousands of dollars have been paid out to veterinarians and pharmacies nationwide. Please, we need your tax deductible donations so we can continue to help Pets in Need. Our Goals To see a day when we never have to tell a financial aid applicant "we're sorry, but we have no funds available to help your pet". No animal should ever have to be euthanized because their person simply does not have the money to get necessary veterinary care to save its? life. To see a day when pet stores only sell food, toys and supplies because there are no more mills to supply them with companion animals. To use our voices to educate the public to the horrors companion animals suffer every day, throughout our nation. To educate on the importance of having companion animals spayed and neutered. It isn't only a question of over population. There are very serious, life threatening, illnesses your pets are subject to if not spayed or neutered. |

I hope the operation is successful! Prayers and lighting a candle for you. I've seen dogs in those 2 wheeled carts myself. They look happy too. No sense in putting a dog down because of this! Geez, what were they thinking about????? |
I'm so sorry about Tia - I hope the news is good when you see the experts. My mom's doxy had to walk in a cart for several months when he hurt his back. It can be done, no question. Good luck! |
