questions about breeders I have written here before about getting my first yorkie. And all the help was so great!! I am in NY and have gotten some names of some breeders. Can anyone tell me if these breeders are good or bad, or have any information at all on them. They are as follows: 1. Rick and madelynn Trimmer, from NJ 2. Marie Larkin, from Long Island 3. S & V Quality Pups, 2434 Stillwell Ave., Brooklyn, NY 11223 Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thany you very much. Daniela |
Hi - have you tried the Yorkshire Terrier club of New York? They have a breeder referral service. I have personally used them and had a very good experience with the breeder they recommended. Good luck! http://www.ytca.org/breeder3.html#NJ |
Might also want to ask this in the breeding section too. |
No, I do not know any of these breeders. Did you try to contact AKC? Quote:

I would NOT recommend Marie Larkin. I met too many others on here and on Dogsters, 13 to be exact. Everything from Kennel Cough to Hip and Knee problems. Here is our story: http://www.dogster.com/dogs/381013/d...s_diary/209943 |
Good Luck finding a new baby!! |
I would also not recommend S & V Quality Pups. I believe they are brokers. You can find more information about them by doing a search on YT. |
i think maria is one from "celtic" who people have complained about sick puppies as well as s & v THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED TO DO..... go to the search buttom above and place the name in it. it will show you threads where people have talked about these people here on yt. good luck finding your new baby |
I would pm JCarlson about S&V. She has gotten 3 pups from them and they were all sick. I also think they are a broker |
Also wanted to add - Marie Larkin of Celtic Irish Puppies is NOT a breeder, she is a pet dealer. She mearly sells the pups that she imports. We would not recommend buying from here. Here's more about our bad expereince. Sadly, we met at least a dozen others on here and on Dogster that have had similar stories. :( http://www.dogster.com/dogs/381013/d...s_diary/209943 |
