What do you think of this Yorkie??
 

Okay, there is a lady that is in one of our youth groups, I don't really know her, but I know her.....if that makes sense.

Anyway, she is a little 7month old girl (Yorkie) for sale for $500 w/o papers. The little girl is barely over 2lbs. And has had no health problems and has been raised around two little kids that are still in the home during the day.

She is needing to sale her due to some major medical bills that they have inquired in the past few months. It is breaking her heart to sell her, but she is wanting her to go to a good Yorkie home and maybe one where the kids could still see her - which would be perfect since we see the kids often.

Do you think this is good? I didn't know about her size, etc. She isn't spayed or anything. I don't have a picture of her yet either......waiting for that to come through!

but the smaller they are the more expensive they get

OMG that is an outstanding price for a yorkie that size. Grab her! I want one that is 3-4 lbs and know the least I will be paying is $1000 and I am sure it will be more than that.

I am waiting for her to get back w/ me w/ all the details. I know that is a good price for the size and I asked if she has the registration papers - we wouldn't really need them, because we would get her spayed when we could. We paid $500 for Mojo several years ago w/ papers, so I know little girls this size are HIGH now. Where we got Mojo, their girls were high, and now they are even higher! My daughter said she still would like a black poodle, but we haven't had any luck. They are high too and it is hard to find one that will stay black - until they get old and start turning gray....some turn the silver even if they are young and we don't want that. I will post again when I hear back from her.

I think its a good deal. especially with her size.

What do I think?? I think I'm jealous! I've been looking for a little girl for quite a while but the right one hasn't come along yet. Good luck...I hope it all works out for you!

Me too!!! I am being very selective and want one that is 8 months or older and I plan on spending over 2,000.00 That is a great price. If she is ahlf as cute as Mojo you will be so lucky!!!

i have to disagree i can't really understand why people sale unreg. dogs when their are so many out there in shelters and pounds who need homes. i do undestand yorkies that are small and stay small are expensive but still unregistered that seems high to me good luck & congrats though!

If you're willing to take another little Yorkie into your home, I'd certainly take this little girl off the hands of your friend. Sounds great! :thumbup:

The price is quite reasonable (sounds like the owner really can't part w/ her w/o some payment as you mentioned her medical bills) and if she's healthy, why not??

Okay, I am STILL waiting to hear back from her!!! I just hope she hasn't gone to a home already!

Des, well, we want her if we can get her.....but we were actually NOT intending on getting a Yorkie because my daughter wanted the poodle - BUT since we have had a hard time finding that special poodle, and this came along............well, maybe that is what was suppose to happen. - Ya know?! Things happen for a reason, so we will see.

I don't mind if she doesn't have papers or how old she is. We wouldn't breed her and would have her spayed when she was able. And the age, we don't mind. It looks and sounds like she was in a good home. Has long as she is healthy, that is all I care about - and I didn't EVER use to care about that, but w/ so many of our rescued dogs always getting sick or having to be put down, and us paying for this one, I want her to be healthy.

Peters: I know about buying an unpapered dog......believe me, I have rescued dogs all of my life and I have only paid for 2 labs and then Mojo. All the others have been rescued, shelter animals or strays. Plus, I don't know if she can be registered or not. I know I have rescued a Shih-tzu before that was older and I could have gotten papers on him, so maybe they just didn't register her.....if that makes sense......I don't really know. I have only spoken w/ her a few times, so I don't know all the details.

Boy, I hope she can come to our home!!! I have been checking and waiting all afternoon/evening!!!!

When you "rescue" a dog through an agency, you're spending $$ on them as well. Yeah, it's for different reasons, but so? The point is that since you're going to be spending money to rescue or not, why not get just what you're looking for? Who cares how much the fee is as long as you're willing to pay that amount.

I'm so anxious for you and this isn't even my new puppy to be! lol
Let us know when you get word! And I agree, many things in life do happen for a reason! I'm still not sure why my bc failed when it's worked for the last 8 years, but maybe when my baby is born I'll find out the "why". Maybe I never will, but I'm hopin'! ;)

Oh Jenn, I know you have been wanting a girl for some time now. I really hope everything works out and you are able to get her. She sounds really cute!!

why does the AKC registration matter that much?
 

Why are the papers so important? You can see if she is a pedigreed ... I rec'd AKC papers with Monday and then I sent the AKC my money and registered her. Had her spayed and never will she have pups.

I am not even certain where Monday's AKC papers, her vaccination history etc. is because I had to put all my stuff in storage when I had my place renovated ...
I figure my vet has all the info, so why does it really matter if you have the papers. Am I naive?
I say go for it if the pup has a good temperment and is healthy! Have your vet check her out and all.

I think that is an awsome deal 500.00 for a yorkie. You know you won't be disapointed. My 1st Yorkie didn't have papers either didn't matter we didn't even notice the difference.

I think this is an amazing price!! Also considering she is already spayed so you would not need to pay the surgery.

Well, I don't think I will be getting her! I am pretty upset! I haven't heard back since the first time I spoke w/ the lady. This little girl probably went to a good home quick! I don't know if she advertised her in the paper or what....I know she advertised it on our groups email loop.....I left a message tonight just for her to let me know if she found a home for her or not. I will keep you all posted.

That's a good price if she is in good health, I have been searching for a girl for a while now. Right now I'm trying to get money back off a puppy I don't want that my S.O put money down on. Get her if you can, and good luck.
