Hair Growth? I was just wondering if some yorkies do not grow long hair, I know Bella is still young but her coat is still really thin and short. She is almost 7 months old. When does the coat start to fill out and grow, or maybe she will just be one with short thin hair? |
do you have pics??? most yorkies don't get a beautiful coat with out lots of tlc there are many steps to getting a "show coat" and in rare moments you will have a yorkie with naturally long hair, alot of people get a yorkie thinking it will be naturally beautiful (all are in my opinion) but it is alot of work to get that yorkie model look. just keep her clean and well conditioned. |

Some yorkies take up to three years to get the the full length. |
I started feeding mine missing link in October and I can tell a big difference especially in kizzys hair. but maybe it was gonna start growing anyway but I'm still gonna keep giving it to mine as long as we dont have any problem with it. |
Stedman already needed a hair cut before he hit the 5 month mark. His hair grows really fast, and he also has a very thick coat. My best friend's Yorkie on the other hand, is a month older than Stedman and her coat is very thin and doesn't grow near as fast. Every coat is different, that's for sure :) |
i was wondering the same thing Peeka's coat just doesn't seem to be growing much he never gets tangles or knots and i don't brush him dry i don't even brush him every day just to avoid over brushing but nothing seems to help. Now my moms baby Boo (peeka's litter brother) She feeds him oatmeal every morning and his coat is beautiful it's thick and shiny and growing nicely they are both 7 1/2 months so i don't know if it's the oatmeal or what? |
I think good diet will make your dog's coat nicer but it won't change the structure of the original coat determined by its genetic. |
