I'm so Mean. :( I feel awful. I was feeding Maddie and Tucker. Tucker wouldn't eat near Maddie for whatever reason so I picked him and his food up, and went to put him in the bathroom to eat. As soon as Tucker started eating, Maddie ran up to him, growled, and started eating his food. I yelled "No!" and told her to go away. :( Now she won't come near me. I feel so bad. I shouldn't have told her to go away.... |
Oh she will forgive you!!! You were just being a good Mom!!! |
Ask your mom, and she'll tell you :D-- --yes, one of the stinky parts about being a GOOD MOM is that sometimes we have to be "mean", and yes, sometimes, our kids get mad at us! :D |
Gosh megan - you mean mom ! What were you thinking ??  :D :D :D :D :D :D :D GOTCHA ! Girl - you dont have a mean bone in your body and maybe she'll remember it next time and let Tucker eat his food ??? lol - typical GIRL - gotta have everything their own way :D |
Just like my Blaine My boy is a big boy, nice and healthy, 8lb baby. But my girl is a little thing, the vet had her on a supplemental food it was a soft meat and Blaine would always try to eat it. At one point I had to put up the safety gate and let them eat one at a time, I don't need the gate anymore though, Blaine has learned that he can't have Sabrina's food, so he sits and waits like a good boy while she eats, it took months to get him to understand that I had to keep them separate at eating time because he would eat her food, be patient she'll learn sooner or later, your not a mean mommy, I thought I was being mean, because Sabrina would run up to the gate and scratch at it like she was trying to help Blaine get through the gate, so it bothered me to put up the safety gate, but it all worked out in the end:thumbup: |
thanks guys. :) She started coming up to me again. I don't get it. I've never hit her (obviously) but if I just raise my voice at all she looks so upset...you'd think I threw a brick at her or something! |

thats a good thing... be glad she listens and pays attention to you! |
YI thought I was a bad mommie too...but it's OK Last night must have been the night for raised voices. Tink started tearing her poodle brother's ear hair out - again, and I said in a VERY stern voice "No!" Scared her so bad she laid down on her back in submission! Then she wouldn't come to me either. :( When I finally got her, I loved and kissed her to pieces. :) She's OK today. But that was scarey! I thought I had ruined her. Tonight when I have said no, she stops whatever she's doing, so I think it scared her but it may have been worth it.:) Oh, BTW, I cut Indy's ears very short - poor little guy, but she was really hurting him. He hates his ears now - so I have to do damage control with him. |
Don't worry, I think our Yorkies only have long term memory and don't have short term memory, or so I've heard. |
