Weird Breathing Or Paranoid??? O.K Here is the deal. I took Jaxson the the vet a week and a half and he was diagnosed with the bacteria in his nose. He has been on antibotic and is fine. The issue I have is his breathing. When he goes to sleep he sounds weird or is it just me. I put some little noses solution up his nose last night and he was fine. He sounds like he is snoring or just breathing heavy or something. He just sound funny and has me up all night checking to make sure he is still alive and breathing. Then when I wake him up to check he looks at me like "What the hell is wrong with you Momma??????? Can't you see I'm try'na sleep???:dogzzz: Maybe I should record it. One thing I should mention is I smoke. Do you think he could be allergic or something??? I guess I'm scared he's gonna have a asthma attack. I know... I'm pitiful:( |
I would probably call the vet. Maybe it's a normal reaction to the medication ? |
sometimes when Tiger is really having a good night sleep, he does make a sound kinda like snoring. Of course Nesha, it is always safe to take it up with your VET the next time he is up for a visit. If he is not at all uncomfortable sleeping I am sure he'll be okay. |
I have a 13 year old Yorkie who is having the exact same problem as you have described. I have taken him to the vet twice to be checked out because I was afraid he had a tumor or some kind of blockage in his nasal passage. The vet told me twice that he is fine. The first time I took him to the vet, the vet held a small square pane of glass under one nostral and put his finger over the other nostral to block air as a way to see if the unblocked nostral would fog up the pane of glass. The vet did this for each side and determined all was fine. Well, a few months later I took Cid back because I was still convinced something was wrong and the vet did exrays and again told me all was fine. The breathing is still heavy when he is in a resting state and I am still convinced something is not right. The same thing happens to be at night when I hear my dog snorring or breathing so hard, he looks at me like "leave me alone, I am sleeping"! |
