Blonde(even though I'm not) moment...what's a parti? Its tri-colored?

No they could be traditional color because the parents are carriers, and they could produce, traditional non carriers, traditional color carriers, or parti colors. All from the same two parents.

No, Both parents could be traditional colored carriers.

Right...just like the same parents can have brown eyes and have 3 brown eyed kids and one blue eyed kid...and ALL THE KIDS have the recessive jean for the blue eyes...and ANY OF THEM could have blue eyed children as well..as long as their mate is a carrier of the gene as well (but doesn't necessarily have to have blue eyes) RIGHT??? :confused:

Breeding him to a parti could produce either parties, or traditional colored carriers.

There is just something special about him, I know a lot of people say that about their babies, but I don't know about him. He is just so smart, for example, the other day, he didn't have food in his dish (stupid me) so he went in the other room, dug through his puppy bag (my version of his diaper bag), came back in the other room and and along with him he brought me his baggie of food. He is always one step ahead of me, that little smartie pants...

Hope you dont breed him & then just as our sweet little boys discover sex and turn into that aweful thing I like to call a MAN,lol. It ruins him. It may change his personality. But your choice & good luck.

Mine is gone too -- as all the others that thought perhaps getting something other than what a person originally thought they were buying; a breeder not knowing the sire; or a breeder not at least telling the buyer a potential for parti-color in the line might not be such a good thing.
