Lillies hair is always in her eyes...It is near impossible for me to get her to sit still to get her ponytail in and most of the times it's in crooked and I have to take it out and start over,....then after a few hours she gets it out! What I usually do is smear peanut butter on the counter and then work like mad to get her pony in before the peanut butter is gone...most of the time I can do it but,..she HATES it! any suggestions on how to get this done easier? | hahahaha thats an ordeal to do a bow !! Cheri is kind of a wiggler - what I do is sit her in my lap all the time and just brush her hair...it feels good when you just massage their heads and they'll usually sit for that - then gradually work up to putting a TINY topknot in... then as they get even more used to it - keep adding hair so one day you have the bow you want in there -
I found with my 2 girls - Chanel always loved me doing her hair - she'll sit for braids - multiple bows etc - because she knows when I'm done she gets all kinds of praise and kisses -
now Cheri is getting to be the same way - they LOVE looking pretty and it's all in the METHOD. Just start slow & take your time brushing their heads - then when you do the actual bow - remember not too tight - and not too loose and one day they'll just relax and enjoy the attention. I think the tiny scrunchies that you can get in all the stores work great as long as they can't get them out and chew on them. It's easy to remove and you can practice much easier with them than rubber bands. |
