Yorkie barking at the Christmas Tree!! OMG... We put up the tree yesterday and put the lights on last night. I just started hanging the ornaments today. And Pepper is running around the tree, barking at the ornaments. Thank God the tree is on a table but still... Somehow the shiny ornaments are very disturbing sight for him. |
Yes, we went through this last week, lol. Ruby just couldn't get over all of the new things in the house. She barked that evening while I was putting everything up, but now it doesn't bother her at all. Ours is on a table too, the problem I will have is if the cats knock off an ornament or something. So, I still have to be careful and watch. |
aweeee poor little baby. i hope he gets used to them |
That brings back memories of Buddy's first Christmas. ( 11mos old) I walked into the living room and there he was under the famous blue chair(where he goes and thinks he can't be seen) it's a Queen Anne, chewing something! I couldn't believe it. He had a six inch string of lights under there. He chewed right through the lights on the lit tree. I have no idea how he never got a shock! I turn the tree around now because the row is out! LOL sorry to laugh it sounds very cute !!! but i would just give him time mabee even let him smell the tree up close |
Mine doesn't bark, but she doesn't like the decorations OMG, Chelsea seemed to have been ok with the new christmas tree, but the minute i wasn't looking she grabbed one of the ornaments and began chewing, chewing, chewing............. |
Ferdinand did that for a couple days too. It's an 8' tree, so we can't put in on a table, but the ornaments/lights are up high enough that he can't get to them. He tried to eat the tree too, for some reason. He's over all that now though. |
LOL!! Thats funny but cute at same time! My girl Bridgit always barks at a fiber optic santa that moves a lantern up and down...along with barking at herself in my bathroom where I have etched glass in my vanity cabinet doors. Always cracks me up. |
My yorkie doesn't bark at the tree, but it looks like he's kinda curious about this huge green thing in the living room. He stands on the arm of the sofa that's by the tree and "investigates" the ornaments. He sniffs then, and gently hits them with his nose and watches how they swing back and forth. He does nothing destructive, but he's just so funny! |
That is so adorable. My yorkie doesn't bark at the tree, but she does take all of the ornaments off that are at her level and she hides them in her bed. Silly girl :) |
