I need a name
 
I'm planning on getting a yorkie this spring and need a name for her. I was thinking about Kiah or Klya. how does that sound?


Also..is there such a think as a good breeder in the newspaper?? I did go to the AKC website. they had a link to the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America, and I pulled off the names in Colorado. I just want to buy my girl from a good breeder.

I like Kiah -- sounds pretty. I think you almost have to see your puppy before you can be sure of the name. Sometimes something about their little personality just speaks to you and a name comes to mind.

I found the name of the breeder I am getting my new female from by checking at the best grooming shop in town. They did not hesitate, said she had the prettiest yorkies.

You can call all the vet clinic's and ask if any have Yorkie breeder clients...good luck

I like Kiah also. Just do your homework and check around. Beware of the ones that have 30 or so dogs on their website. They are coming awful close to being a puppymill in my opinion.

I found Hopeys breeder here on YT! After being here for several months, AFTER I got Tootie, I knew I had to find the right person for the next one.. Hope is everything I expected(Tootie isnt but he is so special to me!)
Keep your eyes open here....
I like the first name too... very different... Tootie didnt get his name until we had him for a few days, his personality made the decision for us!

I like Kyla, or maybe Kira(Im in love with that name). Kiah reminds me of Khia the singer, and ugh she's gross.

What if I spell it Kilah, instead of Kyla??? or is Kiah still beter.......ugh..I just can't decide!!!!
Kiah is what I originally came up with, but then thought of Kyla. I keep saying them...........hmmm, which one sounds better lol!

I think if you like the name go for it but I think of the singer Khia too and that does gross me out not trying to be me or anything......I like Kylie though

I have been thinking of names alot lately too and I like certain spellings better than others. For some reason I like Kyla or Kyly for your puppy,just because I like "y" better than "ie". Just crazy.

Well since I have a male thats named Bailey I think when I get another yorkie if its a male his name will be Briley but if I get a girl I don't know on what to name her to match Bailey

Don't feel bad, I'm crazy too, I agree...I like the "y".
well, maybe Kya or Kyah instead of Kiah.

I don't know the singer Khia....I guess that's a good thing.

Yes, I thought about that, but I have a friend who has a lab she's gonna breed to a poodle. She wants to keep one of the labradoodle and name it Kylie. I feel bad "steeling" her name. I don't know if she would still name her dog Kylie if I named my Yorkie Kylie.
