Surprise!!
 

Well, yesterday was my first Mother's Day since I was born on September 9. My mommy and daddy and the rest of my family went to my grandparent's place in Coronado. It's on the water. They have boats and lots of exciting smells and things to see!! I was soooo excited. I was tugging at the leash trying so hard to go down the ramp to the dock so my daddy offered to take me for a walk. I knew my mommy was worried but daddy hardly ever takes me for walks so she let him. Well, I was sooo excited about all the smells and the water and all that I could hardly stand it. I looked down the long ramp and I squeezed free of my harness and ran to the end and JUMPED!!!

Boy, was I surprised when I hit the water! It was freezing cold and I didn't know if I could swim or not, but I did, I did!! I swam to my daddy and he fished me out and took me to mommy. Everyone laughed at me because I look kinda funny when I'm all wet and I had on my LIFEGUARD DOG BEACH shirt and it was soaked of course, but I love the blow dryer!! After I was all dry I fell fast asleep for a long nap in mommy's lap!! That was my first mother's day and my first SWIM!!! It was exhausting but really fun!! I think I like swimming! :ip:

Sounds like a good time, good thing mom wasn't watching. They are so over protective :rolleyes: My house is on the water and while my mom wouldn't take me to the river, guess who did? Yep, daddy. I wanted to go in but MOM, the party pooper, came out and caught us. Geesh.......

Oh, you are so lucky! My mom would NEVER let me do that - she can be so strict sometimes. :(

Thanks a lot! Now mommy will NEVER let daddy take us any any adventures!! You just proved her theory that daddys can't be trusted!!

Sounds like fun. Stewie is jealous. He tried to go swimming yesterday in 55 degree filthy pond water and I put a stop to that :)

What a fun time y'all must have had...betcha wait before diving off the end of a pier next time.

Pat: I just noticed that they weren't there anymore. They were in the last one I had. Someone redid this one for me and I don't know what happened to the poodle the westie and the cat? Do you remember the one with my persian cat and the green eyes from J4P? It's still on over there. I don't know how to do it myself I have to have someone else do it. Do you know how? If you could PM me the instructions I could try to fix it.
