Ben and our Jack Russel, Candy sleep with us. They sleep on top of our blankets and Candy has one of her own. Ben usually is cuddled next to hubby. I was the one who always said the dogs could not sleep with us..... but who can say no to a Yorkie pup? And Candy just wore me down, she would wait til we went to sleep and then hop up there and make herself comfortable. I guess she finally trained me to just let her up there to start with. DH made a ramp for Ben to run up and down from the bed. He knew immediately what it was for and seemed happy as can be! He moves the ramp around the house for Ben -- to the bay window seat, to the couch, and back to the bed in the evening. What a spoiler he is! :) |
Hank has always slept with us since a baby. Now we have Levi in the bed with us. My hubby says he sleeps on a postage stamp but surely doesn't mind. |
I have three babies and only my one yorkie sleeps with us in bed. She uses the puppy steps to get up and down but my smaller yorkie still can't get to the bed even with the steps. My other dog Snoot sleeps on the floor because his snoaring drives us nuts and we can't take him right by us, LOL! But when my fiancee works midnight I tend to sleep on the couch with all three babies :D |
Another guilty one here! We started with her sleeping in her xpen at night. But she'd wake us up between 4-5 am every morning...but we stuck to our guns. Except on the weekends. Or when she had a rough day. Or when we felt sorry for her. Or when she cried. So now...guess who's sleeping in our bed!?? We actually DID have to get a king bed! We had a full, and after a very cozy (er, I mean elbow in the back breathing in your face can't sleep because you're moving too much) 6 months of marriage, we got the BIG bed. And we love it! And Emma loves it too! She usually starts out sleeping between my feet, then between us, and ends up curled up next to my hip. Sometimes she sleeps on the pillow between us. That's right folks, we have enough room for a WHOLE PILLOW between us. I highly recommend a king size bed to anyone and everyone, especially with furbabies! |
Me and amy BF slept together on a twin size bed for 5 years. When Zoe came along he slept on the bed with us and it became toooo dangerous. Back problems occurred as well. I recently bought a full size bed and all 3 of us sleep on it and it feels like a KING. personal question - is it me or is it hard to get "intimate" when they sleep with you? |
Guilty as charged. Gracie curles up in my left armpit, on top of the duvet. She does not stay under the covers if I put her there. She is enjoying her new fleece jammies though! Our puppy school teacher says that at this age, puppies have not yeat earned the priviledge to sleep in bed with mom, or get on the sofa with mom. To heck with the puppy school teacher! |
My Tayah sleeps with me.. it's that or I have to listen to her crying all night while i try to train her to sleep in the pen. My male was taught to sleep in his pen when he was young, so he is quite fine and sleeps in pen next to me. My boyfriend says it's playing favorites, but if my female would do it, i'd have her in there too. Occassionally I let the male sleep with us on the bed. My new boyfriend hates it :( My dogs were here first though, so I am not about to banish them from my sleeping quarters! New bf has been sleeping on the couch! Ugh :( |
Lucy sleeps with me! She starts out on top of the cover, then scratches my back with one paw to let me know to raise the covers for her. Then she crawls down behind my knees. Rebel sleeps in the playpen because he's so little and I'm afraid he'll fall off. When he gets bigger, he'll "graduate"!:) |
Yep, Rowdy and Rexy sleep with us. We sleep with 2 fans and they sleep under a blanket or under a pillow that we keep on top of our covers, just for them! :p |
:p Yep! Toto "allows" us to sleep, clinging to each side, of her bed. We are constantly touching her throughout the night just to make sure she is comfy, warm, etc. We haven't slept all night since we brought her home ... over three years ago!!! ;) |
When I'm home Yoshie sleeps with me, and when I'm off at school he sleeps with my parents. |
We have always had 3-4 in the bed and on and under down comforters. They all start out under but get on top of the comforter when they get too hot. We have a 12 wk old pup between the pillows. That's where all ours have started out as puppies 8wks old. Sunshine is usually "under" my pillow when I wake up and Rocky is usually "under" me in the morning. I don't know how he does that. They also have their own down pillows to sleep on. It's all about the dog!!! PS: It was a real thrill to have 3 of them sleeping in the V-Berth of a 30 ft Catalina sailboat with us on Lk Michigan every summer for 5 yrs! |
Lillie lays with me up until I fall asleep, then I move her to her bed, I'm just so scared I might roll on her or she will fall off the bed, she is so tiny, I just dont dare take any risk, I just love her way to much! |

Now we have three that sleep with us. Molly and her two 15 week old pups, Princeton and Pinky. I am getting up two times at night to make sure the bed stays dry. |

My girl sleeps with me.. I won't have it any other way.. When the bf comes home, I make him sleep on a blow up mattress! ;) My 90lb American Bulldog sleeps with us too! |
For sure! Kona will eventually crawl under the covers so she can be warm. Mostly she'll sleep on my chest. Bernie will sleep on top of the covers on my legs or inbetween my bf and I. |
Our sweet lil fella sleeps with us in his jammies on his own pillow in our big ol' king size bed. |

Adonis (my 5 year old) has slept with me since he was a puppy. I just let Venus (5 months old) start sleeping with us too. She was so proud when she found she could walk up the pet stairs and get on the "big" bed! Now I can't keep her out of it! |
I'll have to fess up! Toto sleeps with me. He has his own little blue "blankie" that I place on top of the bed covers.... He curls up in a little ball and I cover him up with the rest of his blanket. He doesn't move all night long, but look out in the morning..........the race in on. And he is the biggest bed "hog". :D |
Where else are they suppose to sleep? :p Haha ya sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and I'm at the way edge of the bed about to fall off! I try to move but lil Miss Priness won't budge.. geesh! |
We have 7 doggy beds in my house and still all 3 girls sleep with my husband and I. Lexi sleeps under the covers on my legs, Candi sleeps under the covers curled up to my husbands stomach, and Tori sleeps body under covers head on my pillow, laying on her back and snoring in my ear. We are VERY light sleepers, if one of them move we jump up waiting for them to get comfy again so we can go back to sleep. Oops forgot to mention we have to big kitties that sleep with up too. One sleeps on top of the covers on my back (which sometimes crushes my breather) and the other sleeps on top of covers at my husbands feet. |

Since day 1, which turned into well it is his first night and we dont want him to be scared, well he is 4 months old and he is still there every night, day 1 has turned into day 100 and something we have always had a body harness on just in case he would fall and a really long leash that measures just to barely the end of the bed so he cant fall off, he starts off down in between our feet and by morning he is on either one of our pillows or right in between us head on the pillow under the covers and I forget who wrote it above but how in the world does the 4 pound puppy take up half the queen size bed????? He is the best thing we wake up to in the morning and we have the laziest puppy, most pups I know when it is time to get up get tht playful little look and get excited to go out,but when that alarm goes off even when we sleep in he just looks around and curls up into the smallest ball he can and and just gives us that look like I dont know where you guys have to be but I'm staying right here........He is a greaqt thing to wake up to in the morning.....Yorkies are the best |

Of course she sleeps with me ....Where else would she sleep??? As soon as she learned to use her piddle pad ... she earned the right to sleep with me ... or as someone else said, she letz me sleep in her bed ... I have a king size bed (my hubby passed away) ... and you would think Monday would sleep on the other side ... but nooooooooooo ... she is right there by my head .... And it feels so nice to hear someone else breathing next to me again .... What a lovey dovey!!! If she goes to my daughter's room, I feel slighted ... and if she goes to sleep on the couch, we both feel dissed by this little furball of love! |
