Help!!! Hi everyone I need your help. I have two Yorkies that will be 1 year old on December 1st - Male and Female. They're housebroken except for a few accidents every now and then. If they don't go when I take them out they'll just go inside. They're so smart they'll bark when they want to get my attention or they want something but they won't let me know when they need to go out. I have to remember to take them out regularly. I really want them to let me know - tried the bell thing but that didn't work :( Will take any suggestions Thanks |
sorry I cant be of much help... mine wont tell me either... I just rely on the two "non-yorkies" to remind me and they will follow.... |

I just bought a couple of bells today...Sadie will go to the door (not all the time) and if I don't catch her she will go on the floor...right in front of the door...but, she doesn't bark or whine so it's too late to put her out cause she's already gone...A member here had suggested putting P-nut butter on the bell and when they ring it to let them out...this will get them used to ringing the bell and going out to potty...I have owned several dogs in my 49 yrs and NEVER had such problems with housetraining..Lillie is 5 months old...she does pretty good on the pee pads...Sadie will too from time to time...it's almost like they get lazy and don't want to go to the pad.. |
