feel ears to check temperature? is it true that feeling my yorkie's ears will help to determine whether he is too hot or too cold???? Just wondering b/c i think i read it in a thread at one time. THANKS! |
anyone? is my question confusing?? Basically- if it's cold in my apartment and I want to make sure he is okay I can feel his ears and if they are cold I could put a sweater/blanket on him. thanks!! |
I read about it, not the whole ear just the ear tip. I guess it's just like with real kids, if their fingers are cold, they're cold. |
It does make sense. Is he shivering when ears are cool? When Abigail's ears are cool, I put her somewhere that's warmer, and then notice her ears warm up. |
i check layla's tummy... i'm not sure why... lol... but it's always been a good way for me to tell if she is hot or not... not so great with checking cold.. however layla is very dramatic and will shiver if she feels a chill  |
thanks everyone!! |
I always kiss noses ...if they have a cold nose - the sweater or nightie goes ON if the nose is dry - that means they don't feel good - so you want a nice wet not too cold kissable nose on a dog - then you know they're feeling ok |
