My baby Will arrive soon i found her.... one question about breeding though...help 1 Attachment(s) Okai so yesterdai i went searching for my baby since i wanted her alreayd, and i found her!! Her name is tina im thinking about changing her name. Shes not a Yorkie shes A silky but she doesnt look like it you tell me. She was dob sep 20th and will be ready to go dec 18 and will be shipped Dec 22nd in time for me to dress her up for xmas. My dilema is her daddy was 3lbs and her mom 5lbs, her dad always makes small babies and she happens to be the runt of the litter ans is estimated she wont get bigger than 3lbs so im wondering?.. ..will she be able to breed i mean not professional (god no) i mean as in at least one baby to continue her legacy?. ..:aimeeyork please help me out im sooo confused. -isis |
Congrats on the new baby. Three pounds is too small to breed. Since yours is the runt it may even be smaller |
I hope no one would breed a dog under 5lbs. |
I don't have a yorkie.. or a silky.. but i heard that they should be a little bit bigger but I have also heard of breeding when they are only 3 pounds but you have to be careful because she might be too small to give birth naturally |
aww not even one pup is possible? like one in a litter? |
It is too dangerous for a small mother to go through a pregnancy. They almost always have to have a c section and you would be putting her life at risk |
is it possible for me to like change her weight? like feed her? is that possible? or is it really going to be 3lbs no matter what... |

There is no way to control how many pups are in a litter. There are many risks that go along with breeding. If she does end up being only 3 pounds, I'd be very hesistant to breed her. Congrats on getting your little girl. Where did you find her? |
from a breeder in MO, i cant think of the name right now hold on |

It is ppossible that if you overfeed her she would be oover three lbs but she would still have a small frame. It is really not worth it. Someone on here just had to have her yorkie have a c section and she had to come up with $2000 cash before they would do the operation. A couple of her puppies died and one is not doing so good. All because her Husband had to leave to go get that money and come back |
