My fish stay out all year! We keep the waterfall running all winter and the pond freezes over except for right in front of the waterfall. We havne't had one die yet and they are multiplying! :) We had babies last spring. The adults are huge ....like 18 to 20 inches. I love sitting on the bridge and feeding them...its very peace:thumbup: ful

In our house in Alberquerque, we had a pond in our courtyard with a waterfall that was attached to the house. Our Koi stayed out all year, too and they were getting huge... the largest one was about the size of your, Breny, they were so tame that when I opened the front door they would swim to that end of the pond and if you opened the front gate they would swim down to meet you. They would eat from my hands..... I loved those fish..... the day after halloween all of the fish were dead -- I have no proof, but believe with all my heart that the mean nasty neighbor kids put poisoned them. I cried for days..... |
