Blue skin? Buddy's my first yorkie and is 11 weeks old, ive noticed theres a mass of difference in what colours yorkies end up when adult, and i'm intrigued as to what colour he'll end up, he already has lighter 'roots' showing all on his head and ginger roots on his ears!! other than that he has alot of black fur (he was the darkest one in his litter) ive noticed under the black fur his skin is a bluey colour? A friend said they think this means he will remain quite dark?? anyone know if this is true.. or do all yorkies have blueish skin? |
They change colors quite a lot. It's fun to watch, Yoda has changed colors at least two times now, with the hair on top of his head really light, but he's darker on the bottom. I really don't know about blueish skin, I haven't heard of that at all... |
Actually Cookie has some of that blue skin you are talking about and so does my sister's s**tzu. It does look blue. It's like when you look at the veins in your arm.... that bluish The blue is where they have the darkest hair. Genie |
Maggie is 11 weeks old now. Her hair is really growing, but kinda thin on top. Yesterday (mother's day) I put her dress on and a bow in her hair for company. She has been wearing bows, now it seems like there isn't enough hair to hold one. Is this normal, and will she grow in more hair? |
thanks i'm glad buddys not the only one with blueish skin. Can't help with the bow in hair though, my husband has refused to take Buddy out if he has a bow in his hair! lol he wanted a more 'macho' dog but Buddy was my birthday prezzie so i got to choose, he tells everyone that he would never ever have got a yorkie.... then spends every chance he can get cuddling, kissing and generally fussing over 'my' buddy lol yep they sure melt everybody hearts! :animal-sm |
Buddy is a cutie. Maggie has stolen her daddy's heart too. Tonight I went to shower and told him that she will be just fine until I get back. She started to cry. Then I noticed that she had stopped. When I came back, he was sitting in the kitchen with a TV tray, eating his dinner. He told me that she was lonely. I couldn't help but laugh. He's a rancher and our other dogs are heelers (Australian Cattle Dogs). They are a very tough breed and extremely smart--but to see him give into Maggie was a joy. |
