Growing Old is NOT FUN!
 

Ya shoulda seen these two old people about 10 minutes ago......We have been just doing stuff around the house today, inside and outside, and the dogs have been going in and out right along with us. Don got something out of the car along the way. Then Don noticed that the dogs weren't around him outside....which they usually are.....and came in to ask me if they were inside.....NO, they weren't. And when they are together, they ALWAYS come when called, and they were NOT responding to our frantic calls. We got out the genuine guarantee...the harmonica.....played it up and down the street....searched indoors and out.....just about in tears....I have NEVER seen Don so FRANTIC....and I was panicking.....Asked Don for the car keys so I could go up and down the street looking.....went to get in the car.....and there was this cute little Yorkie lookin' at me!!!! from inside the car!!!! where he and Pogo had popped in when Don had the car door open a half hour ago. WATCHING US SEARCH FOR THEM!!!!! Do you think they could maybe have barked a little to let us know where they were? NOOOOOOoo......Do you think it occurred to us to look in the car????? NOOOOoOOOOOooooo. I just HATE getting old! I laughed soooo hard. I couldn't help it. Don was FURIOUS! heh heh heh ;)

At least they were safe. Did you bring the little guys anywhere? I'm sure they were expecting a ride. :P

I guess they just didn't want to get left behind IN CASE we were going anywhere.....they LOVE to go! WHEW, though, my heart sure was pounding!

Glad it's not just me who gets in such a panic!! Not that I'm glad you got in a panic of course but you know what I mean!! They both probably had a laugh watching you both rushing around frantically!! Ana xx

That is such a cute story! :p I can just picture the babies sitting in the car with that expression on their face like "why do Mom and Dad keep calling for us when we are right here?" Oh, you gotta laugh. Glad it turned out to be ok and they are safe and sound!!

Oh my Gosh!!!! :eek: :D :rolleyes: :eek: :eek: How funny!!! I am soo glad you found them. I can just imagine them sitting there having a laugh. Similar thing happened to me with Cookie and a kitchen cabinet...they are just soooooo curious and fast...LOL! LOL! :D

:eek: Mary Ellen ... that's the most hysterical thing I have heard in a while!! :D I know it scared you and Don almost to death! I would love to have seen the expression on anyone's face who saw the two of you going up and down the road blowing that harmonica!!! :p Since you were doing things around the house, the boys just probably thought you and Don were getting ready to go camping and figured they would just go ahead and "kennel up"!! :D

Glad your boys are safe. It is a terrible feeling when you can't find them. It is a funny story that has happened to all of us, but not so funny when it is happeining. You just want to squeeze them to death when you find them............Cindy

Don't you just loose your stomach when you can't find them! Glad that it had a happy ending though ;) You just wonder what goes through their little minds when they watch you like that, probably snickering under their breaths like bad little kids :rolleyes: ...Theresa

I always take a head count at night and Missy don't like to be bothered when sleeping. Scares me to death If i can't find her. glad you found them they was just waiting for the keys so they could go to the store. :D
