Please Help!!! My baby is driving me crazy..she is almost 8 months, and i have had her for 5 months. she is usually good, but lately she will not stop crying and shaking. she eats, and drinks, and doesnt have to go the bathroom...but still alll she does is shakes and cries. It is starting to get cold where i am so i thought i would buy her sweaters. she wont wear them. when i put them on her she forbids to walk. and today she has only pooped once, and i keep taking her out but all she does is walk around, she wont poop....sorry to be rambling, but i need help...she is driving me crazy...and i am getting so sad because i dont know how to help her or make her stop crying....... |
I think you should contact your Vet. It could be something serious. |
Shaking can be a sign of illness/pain so it might not hurt to check with your vet just to be sure she's o.k. Is she getting enough to eat? Do you leave dry food down all day in c ase she wants a snack? Shaking can also be low blood sugar. If you think she's just cold and she won't wear a sweater try a fuzzy blanket that she can wrap up in. I put my blankets in the dryer for the boyz...they like their blankets toasty! |
Oh no....should i wait till morning, or do i go to the emergency vet tonight....??? when i hold her she stops crying, or when i play with her....but every other time she is crying and shaking... |
also...just recently she started kickign like crazy when she poops and pees....it is spp strange..she like freaks out and kicks her back legs... |
she always has food left out....i am going to do the blanket in the dryer right now......thanks for the good idea..... |

The scratching with the back legs is normal behavior. I make some nice fleece coats that are easy to put on and my dogs love them so much they bark at me when I take them off. see my other thread. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58707 |
So what happen with the blanket, did that work? Have you tried using the wee wee pad's, so she doesn't have to go outside. ;) |
Let us know what the vet says! |
Certainly - your emotional state at this time is affecting your dog. I would take her to the vet to rule out any health problems - and then try to calm down. Some of the things that you are upset and worried about may not be a problem at all -- and other things that are bothering you are things that most of us have gone through to some extent. But - again - I don't think you'll be able to get your little dog to settle down until you do. Good luck - let us know what happens and how things go. Carol Jean |
Please take this baby to the vet. She may have a urinary tract infection, and a fever! |
ok...so my vet had no openings today, but he is a friend of the family so he said he would look over her. she has no fever, her fecal sample came back fine, and he said everything looked alright. he said i could come back tomorrow and he would check for the urinary tract infection, and double check a few more things, but he said definitly nothing big to worry about.... i will keep you updated.... ps...the blanket idea worked perfect ..she loved it....she stopped shaking and sat there for hours with me!!!!:) |
Jeanie..i loveeee the sweaters!!! they are wonderful and you babies look so good in them. i think i will buy one to try for now..and more is she likes them. i really like the red plaid one!! get back to me whenever you get a chance...thanks soo much!! |

but I agree the shaking and crying would have me at the vet FAST if my girls ever did that - I hope she's ok and if I were you - I'd call and have them take a good look at her - if it's not physical then you may have a stressed out yorkie on your hands and THAT needs to be addressed too... you said she doesn't like clothes -why not try them at night only to get her used to them ? My girls adore their nighties ...Jodi (Luvmysissy) makes them and Shana - Tinkerbells closet - also sells them |
Sadie will shake if she is cold...I just pick her up, wrap her in a blanket and she is fine...Lillie (5 months old) will whine and bark at me if she wants to be picked up...the back leg thing is normal |
