Stop worrying.... I have had so many pets neutered and spayed -- and have never had a probelm. Plus - everytime - they have amazed me how well they've done. My little Yorkie was neutered a few months ago. I picked him up. He came home and ate and drank until I thought he was going to burst. Then he waddled over to his bed and slept the rest of the day away. The next morning, you would never have thought he had had anything done. He was running around the yard, visiting all the neighbors, and acting his usual self. The only thing I did for a few days was not pick him up and hold him in the area where he had had surgery. This area was a little sore...but only if I picked him up. Nothing appeared to bother him when he was running around, sitting, or lying down. So - don't worry. Just look forward to a day where you and he can lie around. Carol Jean |
How was everything today? I hope and Pray that all went well...I'm sure everything was just fine :) Please keep us posted! |
All The BEST TODAY for you guys !! |
Wishing you the best with both your babies! |
I can tell you not to worry but you are going to anyway it is something that mommies do. I had Peanut neutered on Friday and he did GREAT! I dropped him off at 8:30am and picked him up at 3:30pm he was a little slow moving that evening but come morning he was back to himself. The vet tech told me no food for the first night but I had to feed him he was straving. I gave him some boiled chicken and rice a little at a time just to make sure it stayed in. You may want to have a baby onies so he doesn't lick the stitches to much. I had to stop on my way home because he would not leave them alone. The day after he acted as if they weren't even there. Try not to worry too much Chewy and Mojo will be just fine. Keep us updated. |
I'll be thinking of Chewy and Mojo today...try not to worry they will be home with you before you know it. |
I am sure Chewy will do just fine but I will keep him in my prayers |
I hope and am sure all goes (went) well! I was the same way when Diezel had it done. And all I can tell you as bad as I felt about him being in that lil cone is that he still tried to follow me and roam, I tried so hard not to laugh because he would wonder into another room and I would go look for him and he would be sitting there trying to fight it and his head would be doing a serious nod! Your babies are in my prayers and thoughts! |
Thanks Thanks for the prayers and encouragement... I can't pick chewy up till 5:30 but I got a call from the vet that he is doing well... I cried like a baby when they took him out of my arms this morning to take him to the back... LIKE A BIG BABY!!! I love this lttle guy so much! I went to a friends house and sobbed over coffee with her!!!! Hey I'm 46 going through the mid life stuff... I guess I get a little more emotional then in the past!!! Ahhhh who am I trying to kid, I have always been this way... it's the artist in me!!!:tongue5: How is Moojo doing, any buddy know??? |
Hi Brooke!!! I am glad that the big "N" went well for Chewy today!! Yay! You will feel much better when he actually gets home and in your arms. There is nothing wrong w/ being worried about these little ones or getting emotional over them.....most of us are the same way and we are the same w/ with our skinbabies too. Send hugs your way! Oh, getting ready to start a new thread for Mojo...... |
