Almost a lunchtime disaster!!!
 

I went home for lunch and as I came in thru the gate (we have a large gated area for the dogs to play and potty) I noticed I had received a package. So here I am , more concerned about this package I got, and didn't pay attention as to if I had closed the gate when I went thru.

So I go in the house and round up the troops for their potty break and let them all out. And then its back to my box. Oopen it , trying stuff on.....at least 15 minutes goes by.... Okay time to let my babies in.......

OH NO!!!! There is Rogan, Lexie, Zoey, and Meiah. BRODIE IS GONE!!!!! And the gate is WIDE open. OMG I freaked out. When he was little he would make a B-line to the road so we knew Brodie was never to be let out without a leash or beyond the fence. My heart was pounding out of my chest.

Thank god my gut told me to go to the road. I ran! (and we have a long driveway) I ran and stood in the road (totally out of breath by now) looking both ways, hoping to not find the unbearable. But nothing. I started up my driveway and heard a ruffle in the brush and out he came from a big Pine Tree at the road. He was shaking so bad. OMG!!!!!! I thanked god over and over and over!!!! He doesn't wear a collar, and I had given him a short haircut a week ago so he would have froze. So many awful things were running threw my head.

I just feel very blessed today that nothing happened to him!!!! I would have never forgiven myself!!!! I'm not a overly religious person, but I think god heard my many thanks today!

OMG!!! I am glad that he was okay! That little turkey!!!

I think I did almost have a heart attack!!! I was almost gasping for air when I scooped him up and ran up the driveway! Boy our babies can give us a scare, can't they!? I was shaking all the way back to work.

POOR LITTLE GUY !! Sounds like he bit off more than he expected on his big adventure - man - they sure will sneak out if they can won't they ??? GOOD FOR YOU Spotting someone MIA or that could have been so awful - that little dollbaby is too cute to be runnin the streets !!
