What kind of comb for Yorkies? Can ya'll tell me what kind of comb/brush you use to brush your yorkies with. If there is a link that you can link me that would be helpful. On occasion my sparky get matted easily. What brush can brush out matted hair? Thanks |
Tender Care Sleek Brush . its made in britain . |
I use cowboy magic detangler and a simple pin brush. I use a flea comb to take care of the hair around Gracie's eyes and nose. She won't tolerate any combing on the rest of her body, only the pin brush. |

I have used several different brushes and combs on mine and find that a normal "people" comb works best. I use a big one with small teeth on one side and big teeth on the other... Tootie has cottony hair and tends to mat easy. He tolerates the comb much better than a brush. Hope is so small, I can have her brushed before she even realizes I have the comb.. LOL I use Baby No More Tangles for Tootie and it works great. |

The 'Untangler' is the best comb I have ever used. I rarely have to brush them anymore, just a comb thru at night and they never get matted. It has rotating teeth that untangle without pulling. It's great. Here is the website. http://www.theuntangler.com/ |

I heard alot of good review about the cowboy magic. I will have to get one myself. Thanks for the review. |
i am the only one ive ever seen on here mention a comb called revolution. that comb has done more for my two babies than anything ive ever tried. i paid 7.99 for it at a pet store here. the teeth have kinda blunt ends and they turn as you comb them and neither of mine rarely have mats anymore. they love it. i gave away 2 chris christensen brushes because after I got the comb then tried the brush on them , they acted like it scratched their skin and did not like it. and the comb has taken out mats the brush never got out. so everyones different but i wouldnt sell my comb for twice what i paid for my brushes. i can pick either one of them up and comb them with it, dry and all and rarely hit a snag. but i do use cowboy magic detangler and shampoo and conditioner , because it makes their hair feel so much softer and i put some detangler mixed with water in a spray bottle and kinda spray lightly on them between baths when i comb them, i usually give them a bath once a week and try to brush them everyday with the detangler spray as ive heard dry combing or brushing breaks their hair. |
