Puppy cut?
 
Does the puppy cut work with a silky coat? I've been thinking about having the boyz done in puppy cuts but they both have silk coats and I'm not sure how it will look. Does anyone have pictures of a silk coat Yorkie in a puppy cut? Thanks....

Brutus is silky and he got a puppy cut over the summer. As you can tell he was NOT happy with the purple bow and bandana and right after I took this picture I removed them!:p

I let it grow a little and was cutting him myself in the next picture. I'm letting grow now for the winter but as soon as it gets warm all that hair is coming off!:eek:

hahahaha - I LOVE HIS HAIRCUT but Carolyn - I think you're onto something with the expression - I can see he isn't thrilled with his purpleness ....but he sure looks CUTE Scowling at us !!!

I have a Yorkie with silk hair. He turned 1 in August. I don't have a good picture that shows his cut, BUT what I did was I brought a picture from a Yorkie Book I had (or it could have been a Yorkie Magazine) to my groomer with him , showed the groomer the picture of the way I wanted his hair cut and left the magazine with her. I picked it up when I picked up my Yorkie. His Puppy Cut looked just like the one I brought in.

I always kept Starr in a puppy cut, she was silky. It was easier, she loved to play outside and roll around in the grass, so keeping her clean was simpler for the both of us with the shorter cut.

God, I miss her.

No, actually I think he didn't mind them. We were down in Nashville that week for the YTNR Ball and the picture was taken on Saturday night just before the Gala Ball. He was sooooooooo tired. I think he was sleeping underneath the shades and did not mind the glasses and kept them on most of the night.
