My little guy is refusing to eat dry food...
 

any suggestions on a dry food that TASTE the best? He's just very picky. I know he's not supposed to eat wet food because of his teeth but that's all he seems to eat.

If you quit giving him the wet food he will eat the dry eventually ,just wait him out. My dogs love Innova small bites.

Maybe you should try mixing the soft and dry at first and then slowing switching to all dry. My dogs like nutro. Get some small bags of different kinds to see what he likes. Just introduce them slowly so that you don't upset his tummy. ;) ;)

Both mine are picky about what hard food they will eat but will eat Royal Canin

My dogs were like that too...but I didn't give them an option thats all they had on the plate day and night when they get hungry they'll eat it.

He would eat all the wet food and pick out the dry and put it on the floor.

I'm having a similar problem with Luna. Although this morning I did catch her eating some kibble, YAY!!!!

I'm afraid to just cut out the wet altogether because of the hypoglycemia incident we had with her.

My breeder gave me some Neutra-Cal for the hypoglycemia. I had no idea what it was for at the time, but she told me to give it to her 3 times a day, till she starts eating good for me. I wish every breeder would give the new owner some of that stuff. I found out what it was for, when I found yorkietalk.

I mixed the wet with the dry. Yea, at first Venus would eat around the dry. Sometimes I'd wet the dry food to get her to eat it. When she wasn't eating it...I gave her a dab of Neutra-Cal on my finger. That stuff also seems to stimulate the appetite.

I also went to Royal Canin Puppy 33. Venus likes that better than the kibble the breeder sent home with me.

When changing foods, mix them slowly to keep the tummy from getting upset. I think I read on here, it takes a week to complete this. Slowly take away more of the older food each day.

Also does your puppy have enough teeth to be eating the kibble? Sometimes they will eat whats easiest to eat if they don't have a lot of teeth yet, which is usually the wet stuff. If thats the case, might want to wet the dry food some.

I'm sure others will have better suggestions. And for those with new puppies, Neutra-Cal is a must have! You can pick it up at any pet supply place.
