what harness okay, Buddy has chewed through two harnesses in the last two weeks. I don't know how he does it, but he chews through the part that goes around his neck. I can't afford to keep buying harnesses. The ones I had were nylon. I have not been able to find leather in a small size. But, I think he would chew through those anyway. I have a harness vest on him right now, but that doesn't work very well with his coats, and it is cold and there is snow on the ground right now in Wisconsin. I am wondering where you get step in harnesses and if you think they might work. Do they ride lower on the chest so they he can't get his mouth around them? I looked at our local PetCo for these last week and couldn't find any. |
I got mine at Petsmart. Good luck. My Chachi chews threw the leashes. I have replaces two |
Chattiesmom on here makes silk ones also |
I have a step in harness for Angel and I don't see any way that she could get it in her mouth. I have only seen them in nylon. PetsMart.com and petedge.com both have them. TigersMom (I think that's her name) on here makes them too. http://go.fetch.home.comcast.net/ |
I have a step in harness..if you go to.....www.cetacea.com it will bring up the site...I didnt' buy my on line...a petstore a couple of towns away sells them...I THINK they are around $15.00... if you don't like these just type step in harness in search and some sites should come up. |
I got my harness here in San Diego from a Boutique downtown-a little pricey at $40.00, but it is 100% all leather! Roxie is now 2 years old and it was worth every penny because it still fits and I use it all the time. |
I prefer the step-in harness because it can go over sweaters etc. It hits low on the chest so no choking when pulling. Gracie can chew on it only when she is lying down, otherwise she does not touch it. |
Forgot to mention that I ordered mine from Didi's Collar Creations. The harness was shipped quickly, is quality made and Didi is great to work with. http://www.geocities.com/diditeague |

I have step in harnesses, and Chachi will get his mouth under the front part. I just don't leave them on him at home. I only put them on when we go out. |

this yt member has a cute harness 4 sale. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57297 i buy a harness a size bigger to put over romeo's coats. this year he's wearing a camo puppia. very cute.:) http://www.ipetconnection.com/Orion_Harness_p/orh01.htm |
I have tried both types of harnesses. I have the step in harnesses now, I like them much better. However, I can't keep the harnesses on them all the time, they will chew threw them. Yes they can chew through a step in harness just as easily as the other type of harness. So now they only wear them when we go outside or go for a walk. They wear collars all day with id tags on them so that if they were to get out, they would have some identification on them. I also ordered from Didi's Creations, she does an excellent job and the harnesses are very well made. Plus she has so many cute designs to choose from and her prices are great!! I wanted something that wasn't just plain and one color and I found her site and will order from her from now on. |
