I never heard of Yorkies with undercoats??? |
Yorkies mixed with other breed? But other than that   |
I thought they only had one coat of hair? I still don't get this concept though:confused: |
I thought I read they have NO undercoat...I want to know so...bump bump |
As far as I know and researched. Yorkies have real Hair, no undercoats. Dogs with Fur have undercoats. Blondflava is correct, mixed yorkies possibly do. But not pure bred Yorkies. |
Yorkies do not have an undercoat! they have hair simular to human hair.. |
Yorkies don't have undercoat . Some Yorkie mixed can have undercoat . |
by the way...what is an undercoat???? |
Toto doesn't have an undercoat. Her hair is just like human ... matter of fact, I have had to "borrow" her shampoo/conditioner before!! ;) |

An undercoat is a second coat of fur. shorter and finer. It' what helps keep dogs warm in the winter and cool in the summer and water proof. This is why yorkies can get cold without a coat on. But I have heard people refer tro some yorkies as having one. So I was just checking to see if anyone else had heard this. Do any of you groomers have opinions on this. |
I have a cotton coat,;) but no under coat. |
