LF travel destination advice Hi, I'm looking for some travel destination advice. We're considering a mid-March vacation anywhere in the U.S. or Canada. Of course we want to take our 3 lbs. bundle of Yorkie-joy. Have any of you had any exceptionally good experiences while travelling with your pets? Hotels? Activities? Thank in advance for any input you may have. Ross |
We've done a couple of trips with the pups and there are a lot of hotels that will take dogs.........do a search for "pet friendly hotels." They all charge a little extra $5-15 a night. We have had nothing but good experiences so far. Even some Bed and Breakfast places will accept pets. We do a lot of antique shopping and most shops that do not have any sort of food will allow you to take your pet in as long as he is in your arms. We have a front pack carrier that we carry them in. We love vacationing like this!:) |
I can't say I have any info on dog friendly places, but I would suggest you go out West becuase it is so beautiful there! I hope you have a great trip. Also, check out petswelcome.com for a list of a bunch of pet friendly places! |
loews hotels are the best i've stayed at with romeo. no pet fees. they are all over the us & canada. http://www.loewshotels.com/hotels/ |
I'm from Nova Scotia so I'd HIGHLY recommend that as a destination. It's a gorgeous place to visit. Also the eastern seaboard of the U.S. from Maine to Boston is so beautiful. We've travelled there many times and love it. |
