Two questions........ Question 1:: Do dog's go though the terrible two's like kids do. Because I think mine is. He is just so playful not in a bad way but just different.:) Just wondering Question 2:: My 13 month old Tali she had her first heat in July at 9 months old big deal. But two weeks old she started a second heat. Is this normal for a dog to have two heat cycles in a matter of months like that?? |
Hi - that's a big YES to the terrible twos. But once they've turned two they tend to calm down a bit more. Or at least my two did. Dougal's my Mr Mellow Pants now that he's three. Dixie is still a bit moody - but I figure it's cos she's a girl doggy - and prone to change her mind - just like me! As to heat cycle - when Dixie forst came into heat she had a second cycle just a couple of months later ie less than six months. I think dogs can have two cycles per year. But I figured it was a bit like humans in that it can take a while to settle into a normal cycle. Some of the lovely folks who breed will be able to help you more on this. |
Thanks!! |
Terrible 2's oh yes big time. they will test you on everything, from potty training to chewing up things to picky eating. As for the heat, can't answer that, still trying to get that one figured out myself. |
Stomper is almost 2 and he seems to be settling down a bit. I think that is typical as they get older. Don't get me wrong, he plays but will also rest. :) |
