This is beyond ridiculous! Besides one of her yorkie does seem to have a roach back.

A roached back is when the back is not straight or level. There is a convex curvature in it. With a roached back can come a down tail, a shorter neck and possibly the hind legs being taller than the front.

WOW $10.000 that is alot of money for a Yorkie.............I only paid $200.00 for Tinkerbell and she is cuter:D

What a shame! Kasey is only 3 pounds full grown...soaking wet...I wish for anything he was a bit bigger.:(

What a site to see. Never new a pet Yorkie would go for that much. I paid 1,500.00 for my little girl but I guess if I was looking for a show dog, then maybe I might think I would pay that much and wouldn't have a problem paying that price. But wow not that much for those Yorkies on that site. Is this kennel a show breeder or what?

Not a show breeder! However, the $10.000. Willow was reduced to $7,000. I would have an issue paying that much from this breeder. I can't see myself paying that much for a pet quality dog. I way overpaid ($3,000.) for my latest and was ripped off. At least I learned not to trust so called reputable breeders or be impressed by their websites. IF I ever buy another, will do it differently. I caulk it up to a learning experience and the challange of working very hard with a vicious dog. I call him my overpriced rescue from a show breeder. It's still iffy where this will go but I'm working with a vet/behavoirist. It was suggested that he be eutheniazed by two other vets. I'm trying to save him.

I believe yorkies are the only thing in the market where people are willing to pay more for less. The smaller and less healthy they are the more people will pay.

Wow, I thought I paid so much for my little boy (1,200) I got a 4yr. pedigree and the dad was DNA certified, thought I am not exactly sure what that means...My little boy looks like he might have a "roach back". His dad was 3 1/2 lbs. and mom 4 1/2. His is only 2.64lbs. I don't know how he ended up so small, but he has no health problems....what do you guys think? I will attach a link with the pictures of the parents...mom is aimee dad is harley.

Thank you! The parents sold me as soon as I saw them. I think though because he ended up so small, he might have a roached back. it's hard to tell, his back legs don't look too tall, but sometimes when he walks his back looks a little hunched. Now I am worried. The vet told me his knee caps and everything were ok, unlike my other yorkie. So I guess I will wait, does anybody know if this can cause problems?

I think DNA certified means they know for sure the parentage is correct. In other words it keeps people from just saying that a certain dog is the sire. DNA doesn't lie -- just ask those Crime Scene guys :)

DNA Certified means theyve DNA'd the male...

by AKC regulations a male must be DNA'd and on record if a male sires more than 3 litters in a calendar year or more 7 in his lifetime.
