1. She was born on January 5, 2004
2. She is a bully towards all other dogs... including my aunts dog who is 5 times the size of her.
3. If she gets a very yummy treat she will pretend she has to go pee (and will even squat down and pretend she does her pee) just so she can get another. (she will do this over and over again as long as she keeps getting yummy treats).
4. She is very nosey
5. She is also very fearless (we had to rearange the furnature because she kept jumping on the back of the couch and leaning over the railing, which is about a 12 ft drop:eek: )

1. Simon was born January 14, 2006

2. I drove four hours and back to get him, which isn't that far, but on the way back, there was a huge fire and I-40 was shut down for like, 60 miles. So, I had to get through fire to get him home. I got to stay home from work the next day because of it, and that's how we got started.

3. He believes I am the love of his life, and I think he's mine.

4. He has a couple nick names, Bubba Wubba, Stinky boy, and just Bubba.


5. He has a stuffed animal named after him, a little girl I babysit loves to play with Simon, the real thing, and the stuffed animal. She calls me Simon's mom.

6. He likes to stick his head out the window in the car. One time, he tried to jump out of the car, so mama watches him really close and holds on tight to him.

7. He has two best friends, Stella and Tess. They are our Golden Retrievers. We have another Golden, Blue, but he is mean to Simon, and although Simon tries to be friends, Blue wants nothing to do with him.

8. Simon is still not housetrained. I think he pooped in the dining room already today!

9. Simon was named by my friend, but I wish I could change his name. I wanted an S name, because I want to name my next girl yorkie Suki. It's too bad though, because I am stuck with it.

10. Simon is a mama's boy. When he was a puppy, he would sleep in my clothes when I was gone until I came home.

10 facts about Rylie and Layla
 

Rylie:
1. He was born April 25, 2005 and we adopted him July 5th, 2005.
2. The first time my b/f (Rylie's dad) held him , he knew instantly Rylie was ours. It took me an extra five minutes to agree.
3. I had never owned a dog before and I was so scared. I checked Rylie to see if he was breathing while he slept. Sometimes I still do.
4. Within one week of adopting him, Rylie ran towards a door I was closing and his paw got stuck. His cry broke my heart but thank goodness he did not break his leg.
5. When Rylie was a baby, he was terrified of stairs. Now he runs up & down them like a total pro.
6. For a few weeks, Rylie would pee on the floor in front of his dad for no reason-- maybe to assert his dominance? That stage passed quickly, thank goodness!
7. Rylie laughs. And he has the sweetest laugh.
8. Rylie comes to get us when he's gone potty. He loves potty praise!
9. Rylie loves Cheese Doodles and has a girlfriend-- a 5 year old Yorkie named Bernadette.
10. Rylie loves his baby sister Layla, but he'd never admit it.

Layla:
1. She was born July 25th, 2006 and we adopted her Sept 18th, 2006.
2. Layla was mostly black when we got her and within weeks became silvery white.
3. Layla is a tough cookie at home but outside among people & other dogs, she's a total wimp.
4. Layla hates wearing clothes, her leash or cute barrettes, which disappoints her mommy greatly.
5. Layla learned to outsmart her brother and her parents very quickly. She does things Rylie never did or still can't do. There's nothing she can't get away with and no gate or Xpen can hold her back.
6. Layla loves to snuggle.
7. When we talk, she acts like she's listening. She even cocks her head and leans forward, like Larry King.
8. I give her more food than I do Rylie because she's sooooo skinny (sorry, Rylie!)
9. Layla makes me laugh harder than any human I know.
10. Layla loves her older brother, but she'd never admit it.

OOH....Zoe
1. was the biggest girl in her litter and used to beat up her little litter sister
2. loves to put her paws on other dogs and play alpha
3. is as sweet as can be, active, playful, but not hyper
4. loves to get dolled up and you can see that she walks with an attitude when we're out but will quickly mess herself up and play like a tomboy when she is at home
5. is a great guard dog (all talk that is, no bite) and will alarm you when she hears something in the house
6. loves to tear up ALL her toys within months ( mean ALL toys :rolleyes: )
6. can play fetch for hours at a time
7. shivers like a leaf for the first 5 minutes of every car ride

1. Trixe HATES cats. If you ask if she 'wants to get the cat' she will stand at the door and growl for you to let her out.
2. She also HATES balloons, she will go nuts and try to bite them until they pop.

Tucker!
 

1. His full name is Sir Willem Jack Tucker of Yorkshire. ;) I figured a nice, lengthy name would make him sound more official in the agility ring. hah

2. He is apparently full-breed, but weighs in at 23 lbs. All love, baby.

3. He knows a bunch of tricks on hand-signal only, no vocals. Some of the tricks are speak, shake, high-five, give me ten, roll over, herd, retrieve, and stay.

4. He is amazing in the agility course; a lot of speed, alert and willing to make a run with enthusiasm. However, ask him to come on a morning run with me and you're pulling teeth. :)

5. He has a girlfriend. Not your conventional girlfriend for a male yorkie, though. She is a year-old bengal kitten named Cleo. He will herd her back inside from the screened porch on command, and she sits and gives him three-minute long face baths. They sleep curled in a ball together. It's very cute, but I'm afraid Tucker thinks of himself as a bit of a feline, and vice versa...which leaves us with two VERY confused animals. :)

6. He has a cotton coat, rather than silky. I keep him in a puppy cut, rather than long; however, I leave his face shaggy. I occasionally clip him into a schnauzer cut during summertime, but overall he looks like a black and tan sheepdog pup. haha

7. His favorite toy is his Octopus, a thin-rubber squeak toy in the shape of...well, an octopus. A normal dog would have chewed that poor toy up by now, but he gently carries it around making sure it squeaks on occasion. If Tucker is ever MIA we just find his Octopus and squeeze it, he'll come running from where ever it was he was napping!

8. He is the friendliest canine you'll ever meet. He doesn't discriminate against anyone, whether you're human, canine, feline, or otherwise. He was socialized with my daughter, our rats, sugar gliders, horses and a monkey since he was a young pup. He is always the hit at the dog park and makes friends quick with the pizza guy or UPS. Unfortunately, he'll let just about anyone come in the house. We have frequent visits from a tomcat who likes to sneak in our house, eat the cat food, use the litter box and give himself a bath in the middle of the living room floor like he owns the house. Tucker has even cracked the backdoor to let the tomcat in...twice!

9. He isn't fond of water, or car rides. We live moments from the beach and own a pool, but he has no interest in either one. As far as cars go, I have tried everything (a small kennel in the back, doggie belting him in, etc) but he prefers to sit on my shoulders, think mink shawl. Needless to say, 90% of the time he is in the car...I'm not the one driving. He'll sit in my lap or in the backseat when I'm a passenger, but when I'm driving he tends to become a baby. (Any advice? ha)

10. He LOVES Wheat Thins and baby carrots. I don't feed him "table scraps" or human food often, but he knows what the Wheat Thins box looks like and tries every trick in the book to get a few. How can I resist?

And one extra random fact... sometimes I pull his bangs back into a ponytail atop his head. You can watch as his masculinity drains away as he pouts until I remove the hairband. hahah hey, I guess I just need a female yorkie, too! Poor Tucker!

About Hannah...
 

1. Her name is The Song Of Hannah, but we call her Hannah.
2. She was born Sept. 22, 2006. She shares her birthday with my daughter Corri (17).
3. She eats poop. But with the help of Forbid she is doing better.
4. She loves to play outside.
5. She loves to search around the floor to eat things she isn't supposed to (tissue, thread, dirt, poop, paper).
6. She loves her brothers Jake (golden retriever 1 yr) and Diesel (lab 11 weeks), and her big sister Sunshine (cat).

Ginger
1. She is very particular about how she snuggles up against me, she lays on my right side, with one of her hind legs on me. If there is no room on my right, she fusses and stews until I make room.
2. If I can't find her, she's off eating toilet paper.
3. She went to work with me everyday for her first year.
4. She loves pumpkin and olive oil!
5. She sits on the back of our sofa to look out the window and police the neighborhood.
6. She loves to have her hair combed.
7. She kisses me on the lips and dh on the ears, never varies

Born 12/15/06.

Finding Maxwell's name was an obsession. I was flying out to get him in Iowa, then in Chicago I called my husband and asked about "Maxwell." I had spent the night at my dad's and he had a giant can of Maxwell House Coffee on the counter. It was the only name we agreed on.

He should have been named Houdini.

Has his own room. Ooops, if my mother-in-law decides to visit.

Loves to chase deer (on a 50 ft. long lead).

Eats deer poop when we're not on the ball.

Maxwell proudly brought us a ball of bear poop yesterday.

He is an athlete, but lucky for me will cuddle when he's sleepy.

What a fabulous thread! Here's my Mango's Bio:

1) She was born Nov 24 2006.

2) She was the same size as a soup can when we brought her home; she is now 3.5 lbs.

3) Mango owns her Mommy (that's me) and orders her around constantly, yapping at her heels if she doesn't listen.

4) Mango was completely toilet trained by 4 months. This seems to be the only thing she has learned properly.

5) Mango went to puppy school; she graduated bottom of the class {See post #4} (was probably passed on the cuteness factor alone).:aimeeyork

6) Mango likes to read..... she does that every day and then turns the paper into molecules. She tells me if she eats a newspaper, she will absorb knowledge. I do not believe her.:confused:

1. Sully goes to work at a photography studio everyday with mommy! (me) :rolleyes:

2. Sully is not a chewer and has NEVER destroyed a toy!

3. Sully knew "shake" "sit" "stay" "lay down" "play dead" and "come" by the age of 13 weeks old.

4. Sully will only eat his food when one of us is in the room with him. Even if he's really hungry, and I put his food down on his mat in the kitchen and go back upstairs, he'll abandon his food and follow me.

5. Of all the amazing tricks Sully CAN do, he refuses to play fetch. He's all about the "come get me" game.....but fetch, he will not do. I'm determined to find a workable training method to teach him, but haven't thus far.

6. Sully was born August 8, 2004, in Lafollette, TN. He was in a litter of 3 puppies - 2 girls and one boy!

7. He has a weakness for munching in the cat box (gross, I know) so we always have to keep the cat box on top of the dryer.

8. Sully's mom was 7 pounds, and his dad was 6 pounds. However.....he is about 10 pounds. (oh well!)

9. Sully is a trained therapy dog, though we haven't gotten re-connected with a new dog therapy group since we moved to the east coast. (It's on my to-do list, I promise.) It really touches my heart to see him being so loving and gentle to people - and see how much his company cheers them up.

10. Sully only likes "plush" toys. Especially ones with squeakers, of course. But if the toy is plastic-y, he won't play with it - ever.

1. He was born on August 16, 2006. I brought him home November 3, 2006.
2. When I went to the breeder, I was only going to "look". Walked out $100 less for the deposit to hold him.
2. I chose him from a litter of 5 because I felt bad about stepping on his toe! (It was an accident...I promise!!)
3. The breeder called him Sleepy because he was the most laid back of the litter and he slept a lot...he still does...which is why I call him a bum!
4. He was almost named Diggy because it was tied on the online poll I had. But after the last vote, Izzy won!
5. After I named him Izzy, I didnt realize that it was a girls name...oh well!
6. I never had a problem with him sleeping in his crate at night.

2. I am his grandma..although he has lived here since he was 4 months old when my daughter moved back home and comes running when I call out "where is grandma's boy" ;)
3. Used to be an escape artist..and he was lost for two weeks last summer due to his adventerous nature
4. Had trachea problems when he as little and didn't bark til he was almost a year old.
5. has a flea allergy and has to be treated all year long
6. Loves to be groomed..(he knows he is handsome..I tell him that all the time)
7. CHases my cat all over the place and has been busted several times for lifting his leg on the cat food bowl and has to be kept away from the litter box
8. Pouts if we dress him up and manages to destroy and remove every collar
9. Is a huge kisser and wakes me up every morning with kisses

2. My daughter again bought her for me since she was going to move out and take Greenlee ( she didnt move out)
3. Her first home I think was sort of stressful?? they had little ones and I think they drove her nuts. for a long time she would flip when kids walked by and we live across the street from a school..but she is better now.
4. She is also a momma's girl and follows me everywhere
5. she cries and howls for 5 minutes when I come home from anywhere
6. She growls a lot...why??? I don't know..she has never been agressive she just growls..I think she could be a alpha Female!
7. She totally dislikes our recently adopted Pom, but gets along with the other two dogs. She loves Greenlee:animal36

2. She came to us on March 1st of this year during a blizzard. a friend of mines' x hubby had a heart attack while shoveling snow :( and the police took the dogs to the shelter. Kathy took the Yorkie, but has a very small house and I volunteered to take Foxy.
3. She gunts all the time (since she was a baby I guess) she snores louder than my x hubby
4. she insists on sleeping in a kennel (that's ok since my bed is pretty crowded now and Gia would have a tizzy fit)

Piper Emerson Temple AKA Emmy

1. born Feb. 22, 2006, came home to us in May 2006
2. slept on a futon mattress on the floor beside our bed with her daddy (my hubby) for 6 weeks, since she cried all night and was NOT potty trained (that was his choice not mine)
3. sleeps in our bed now right under his armpit, but must also be touching me
4. still is not reliably potty trained--I don't know what else to do, so I just keep cleaning, replacing carpet, and praying for a miracle
5. does not like soft food, but LOVES cheese--she will do anything for it
6. favorite toy is a dryer fabric softener sheet (yes, I know she should not have it, but you try and chase her down for it--when I do laundry, she gets a lot of cheese since I have to entice her to drop the fabric sheet)..she also really like socks, underwear, and flip flops
7. used to love to play fetch with her daddy (lost interest after last Friday when we got the new baby, Oscar)...now her favorite game is "Oscar Chase"
8. is a mommy's girl when only mommy is home; drops me like a "hot potato" when her daddy comes in the door
9. goes on a "road trip" every afternoon when my hubby gets home...he says "come on Emmy, road trip" and she goes flying to the door

Hamilton Oscar Temple AKA Oscar

1. born March 25, 2007, brought home last Friday
2. great job going on the potty pad--pee and poop, refuses to go outside and do his business
3. loves to go outside to play, just not to potty
4. loves to play chase with Emmy, his big sister
5. already begs for treats--I think the breeder must have given him snacks...because he came to us as a little beggar!!!!
6. sleeps in a playpen beside our bed and does not cry at all...he sleeps all night...until Emmy wakes him up in the morning
7. has not decided what food he really wants to eat--just lots of it--hard kibble, soft canned food, cheese, carrots, treats...he will eat it all
8. mommy got him, because daddy took over Emmy...looks like hubby may do the same with little Oscar
